A fire-cracking Sunday saw the leading online poker sites bring out the big guns! Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire X5, Adda52’s Full House, PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack, and PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller, were all full to the brim with electrifying action. Without further ado, let us give you a quick recap of what went down yesterday!

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker held many exciting tourneys last night, but spearheading the roster was the ever-popular The Millionaire X5, that awarded ₹1 Million (₹10 Lakhs) to the top five finishers. The event registered 1,625 entries (Day 1A – 462, Day 1B – 398, Day 1C – 765) over three starting flights and only 182 runners (Day 1 A – 46, Day 1B – 47, Day 1C – 89) made it through to Day 2. The top 170 players were paid, and following several hours of grueling play, the event came to an end with the elimination of ‘yelooverbet’ in sixth place for ₹4.08 Lakhs. The top five players who entered the ‘Millionaire’s Club’ and took home ₹10 Lakhs each were ‘XOXOpoker’, Ranjan ‘tripking’ Chowdhary, ‘Bluff.me.not’, ‘Trapdoor’ and ‘King’.

The weekly Sunday SuperStack ₹35 Lakhs GTD saw 891 participants (397 unique, 204 re-entries and 290 re-buys) pony-up the ₹5,500 buy-in, leading to a guarantee-smashing ₹44.55 Lakhs prize pool. Online regular Rajat ‘BloatedBelly’ Mahajan had a dazzling run on the virtual felts yesterday. He not only topped the Sunday SuperStack for a personal-best ₹8.53 Lakhs but also final tabled Adda52’s Full House Finale (3rd for ₹3 Lakhs) and Adda52 Millions (5th for ₹1.66 Lakhs). He is presently sitting with ₹1.73 Crores in lifetime recorded online cashes. Other notables on the final table included Young Gun Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta (runner-up for ₹5.31 Lakhs) and PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘Jai Bajarangbali’ Desai (3rd for ₹3.80 Lakhs).

The Big Daddy ₹8 Lakhs GTD gathered 445 entries (223 unique, 74 re-entries, and 148 rebuys) and posted a prize pool of ₹8.90 Lakhs. ‘Himalayann’ took down the event for ₹1.78 Lakhs, while site regular ‘SAMWELL TARLY’ came in second for ₹1.18 Lakhs.

Spartan Poker’s flagship Destiny ran its 14th edition over nine consecutive weeks, from April 1 to May 27, and last night was when the nine winners converged on the virtual felts to play the Destiny 14.0 SnG Finale. With the top three finishers to earn a Vegas package, it was ‘Donkashtra’ who won the SnG Finale to snag the top Vegas package worth ₹3.70 Lakhs. Sajal ‘GoMuckYourself’ Gupta finished second to claim the Vegas package worth ₹3.30 Lakhs and Uttam Kumar ‘chinunew’ Sinha finished third to win the ₹3 Lakhs package. Incidentally, Sinha also final tabled The Millionaire X5, finishing ninth for ₹1.95 Lakhs.

Adda52

Promising the most massive guarantee last night was Adda52’s Full House ₹1 Crore GTD. Attracting 2,005 entries (Day 1A – 335, Day 1B – 225, Day 1C – 372, Day 1D – 338 and Day 1E – 735) across five staring flights, the event just about managed to surpass its advertised guarantee by ₹25,000. A rising star and a scriptwriter by profession, Md ‘007shakuni’ Zeeshan had entered the tourney on a half-priced ticket. He made the most of the opportunity as he trounced the field and bested the likes of Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (runner-up for ₹12.30 Lakhs), Nishant ‘dojingbullets’ Sharma (3rd for ₹8 Lakhs), Harjas ‘jasthegreat’ Wadhwa (4th for ₹6 Lakhs), Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra (5th for ₹4 Lakhs), Rajat ‘happyfish’ Mahajan (6th for ₹3 Lakhs), and Rajat ‘oshoswami’ Sharma (7th for ₹2 Lakhs) on the final table, en-route to clinching the title and banking a career-best ₹20 Lakhs payday. This latest win has taken the 30-year-old Zeeshan’s recorded online winnings to ₹1.43 Crores.

Sporting a ₹11,000 buy-in, Adda52’s Millions ₹25 Lakhs GTD pulled in a field of 289 entries (165 unique and 124 re-entries), resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹28.90 Lakhs. Anonymous user ‘pokraj’ outlasted tournament regular Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra (runner-up for ₹4.41 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹7.39 Lakhs in first-place prize money.

The other flagship event on Adda52, the Big Slick ₹15 Lakhs GTD, did not fare as well as the other two marquees. With 610 entrants (357 unique and 253 re-entries), the event suffered an overlay of ₹1.27 Lakhs. Anshul ‘Anshbag’ Bagai shipped the tourney for ₹2.74 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD was able to bring together 535 entries (247 unique and 228 re-entries) that resulted in a sizable shortfall of ₹1.25 Lakhs on the posted guarantee. Making use of the value on offer, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja defeated Divij ‘divij24’ Soni in the heads-up finale, walking away with a top prize of ₹5.02 Lakhs. Soni bagged ₹3.52 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Ahuja has been a consistent performer for a better part of 2020 and had remained within the top 10 finishers in our yearly cashes leaderboard with ₹1.43 Crores in annual earnings already.

Mystery user ‘lucky_you’ raced past 352 hopefuls (205 unique and 147 re-entries) in the BSS MegaStack ₹10 Lakhs GTD and pocketed ₹2.10 Lakhs in prize money. Rachit ‘rachubaba’ Arora came in second for ₹1.47 Lakhs.

Meanwhile, the Weekly Depositors Freeroll ₹10 Lakhs GTD locked in 635 players and crowned a champion in Pramod ‘TIMEPAID’ Asokkumar who netted ₹1.50 Lakhs up top, after outplaying Aditya ‘eatingseeds’ Degala (runner-up for ₹1.15 Lakhs) heads-up.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller ₹20 Lakhs GTD was championed by Sasi ‘sasikiranx’ Kiran for ₹4.07 Lakhs, following a heads-up chop with Puneet ‘j4jolly’ Mishra (runner-up for ₹3.64 Lakhs). The event clocked in 230 entries (135 unique and 95 re-entries) and posted a ₹23 Lakhs prize pool that was distributed among the top 39 players.

The site`s Sunday Special ₹20 Lakhs GTD had an eventful run, garnering 445 entries (255 unique and 190 re-entries) and collecting a prize pool worth ₹22.25 Lakhs. Well-known pro Jaideep ‘NNomadas’ Sajwan triumphed over the field and took home ₹4.18 Lakhs in the top prize, after besting Sriharsha ‘1ll|1ll1|ll1’ Doddapaneni (runner-up for ₹1.99 Lakhs) heads-up.
