A trailblazing Sunday saw the Spartan Value Series (SVS) culminate its most significant event, the SVS The Millionaire Lite, in grand fashion. The much-anticipated tourney registered 2,448 entries (Day 1A – 620, Day 1B – 662 and Day 1C – 1,166), resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹36.73 Lakhs. 238 runners had advanced to Day 2, which kicked off at 9 PM last night. With only 225 players slated to receive payouts, the race to finish in the money was intense. After several hours of grueling play, seasoned pro Rajat ‘Garammasala’ Sharma emerged as the ultimate champion!

Sharma is a well-known name in the domestic circuit and one of the biggest winners with ₹3.74 Crores in recorded online earnings and approximately ₹26.64 Lakhs in live tournament winnings. With 61 online titles under his belt, Sharma’s most recent achievements include shipping PokerBaazi’s Fri-Yay ₹6 Lakhs GTD on February 14 and Spartan Poker’s Hi-Fi ₹5 Lakhs GTD on February 10.

Yesterday, he defeated tournament regular Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash heads-up, adding another ₹10 Lakhs to his bankroll. Prakash took home ₹4.40 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

While The Millionaire Lite was undoubtedly the star attraction yesterday, Spartan Poker’s weekly flagship – Sunday SuperStack ₹35 Lakhs GTD – also had an eventful run. Gathering 709 entries (327 unique, 167 re-entries, and 215 re-buys), the event generated a prize pool of ₹35.45 Lakhs. Sandeep ‘SandeeSingh’ Singh bagged the most significant portion of the prize pool kitty worth ₹5.72 Lakhs after agreeing to a heads-up deal with ‘SneakyBlinders’ (runner-up for ₹5.42 Lakhs).

PokerBaazi’s Sunday signature tournament, the BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD, logged in 502 entrants (239 unique and 263 re-entries), generating a guarantee-smashing ₹25.10 Lakhs prize pool. The up-and-coming MTT player Priyank ‘Piko1432’ Kothari championed the event and took home ₹4.87 Lakhs in first-place prize money.

Adda52’s Sunday run was a mixed bag. The Mega Suits AF ₹30 Lakhs GTD was the headline event on the site, but it failed to break-even. The site had to fill in an overlay of ₹1.95 Lakhs after pulling in 561 entries (290 unique and 261 re-entries). Anuj ‘anuj25395’ Yadav toppled Anirban ‘ajgar5’ D Das (runner-up for ₹4.20 Lakhs) in the heads-up finale and walked away with a top prize worth ₹7.20 Lakhs.

The other flagship, the Adda52 Millions AF ₹20 Lakhs GTD, successfully crossed its advertised guarantee and clocked in a prize pool collection of ₹27.10 Lakhs on the back of 271 entries (150 unique and 121 re-entries). Manoj ‘thatsmymoney’ Pentakota won the event for ₹7.04 Lakhs.

Following Adda52’s debacle last Sunday when the site had unceremoniously added an unscheduled flight to its AOPS Main Event Finale ₹1.5 Crore GTD, the site had announced a ₹21 Lakhs Freeroll for all the Main Event participants on February 19. The AOPS Freeroll ₹21 Lakhs GTD took place last night and was attended by 334 participants. Kavish ‘narcoss’ Kukreja ran past the field and took down the event for a ₹4.10 Lakhs payday.

The Sunday Special Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India drew in 308 hopefuls (161 unique and 147 re-entries), creating a prize pool of ₹15.40 Lakhs. ‘Wabi-$abi’ was crowned the champion and banked ₹2.92 Lakhs in prize money.

The 9stacks Super Series concluded yesterday with the 9SS #15 Main Event ₹9 Lakhs GTD finding a winner in ‘Morpheous1’. The ultimate champion bested ‘Batman7796’ (runner-up for ₹1.44 Lakhs) in the heads-up showdown and locked in ₹2.16 Lakhs in the process.
