What a thrilling week it has been for PokerGuru Ambassadors both on the live, and virtual felts! PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja seems to be enjoying his time in Las Vegas having already popped his WSOP cherry with a 142nd place finish in Event #16: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed for $2,742 (~₹1.90 Lakhs). He is confirmed to add to this – having made it to Day 3 in the Millionaire Maker. Ahuja’s fellow Team Ambassador Ratul ‘luna’ Steves has been keeping busy as well. Steves was the biggest online winner last night when he obliterated a field of 3,140 entries in PokerBaazi’s ₹1 Crores GTD ValueBomb, banking a colossal ₹16.20 Lakhs in the process.
Another big winner was online reg Chirag Sodha, who won not one – but two of the biggest Sunday tournaments. He took down both the Baazi Super Sunday SuperStack and the PokerStars India Sunday Special – PKO.

PokerStars India crowned winners in ‘modi chai wala’ (Progressive KO – 4 Max ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹68,947), Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav (The Sunday Stars ₹2,200 NLHE ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹53,161), Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar (Sunday Warm-Up ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹33,265), ‘maverickak56’ (Sunday Supersonic ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹26,580), and ‘GM2318’ (Sunday Storm ₹330 NLHE (6-Max) ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹14,966).
Up-and-coming poker site, UMA Poker, ran its ‘UMA Felters’ series from June 5 to 9. The star attraction of the series was the ₹11,000 buy-in ₹40 Lakhs GTD Felter Main Event which was taken down last night by Kanha ‘konireddy’ Khera for an impressive ₹7.20 Lakhs payday.
On Khelo 365 the list of Sunday winners includes ‘poongavanam’ (Raise Deep Stack ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹69,000), and ‘shatsy93’ (Big Splash ₹75K GTD NLHE for ₹34,500).

After the record-shattering Game Changer, PokerBaazi announced another multi-day tournament– ₹1 Crore ValueBomb. The five-day-long tournament sported four starting flights with the survivors from each of them coming together last Sunday to decide a winner.
The event kicked off on Thursday, June 5 and registered a field of 2,425 entries (Day 1A -709 entries, Day 1B – 717), Day 1C –1,141 and Day1D – 573) through its four starting flights, falling well short of the advertised guarantee.
Only 324 players made it through the separate flights to Day 2 where eventually PokerGuru Ambassador Ratul ‘luna’ Steves’ defeated ‘lmw91’ heads-up to snag the title and a whopping ₹16.20 Lakhs payday.

UMA Poker is a new entrant in the online space and one that has quickly attracted a lot of attention, both positive and negative. Last Sunday, the site hosted its ₹40 Lakhs GTD Felter Main Event that ran into some controversy with players suspecting the presence of a lot of house players in the event. PokerGuru reached out to the UMA Poker management who have confirmed that an official statement on this issue would be released shortly.
The ₹11,000 buy-in event registered 369 entries falling ₹3.10 Lakhs short of the guarantee.
In the end, it was Kanha ‘konireddy’ Khera who defeated Shashank ‘theknife’ Agarwal heads-up to take down the title and the ₹7.20 Lakhs first-place purse.

Sodha this time outlasted a field of 317 entries (includes 131 re-entries) that included defeating Yash ‘hasyY@$#116’ Shrivastava heads-up to win the title, adding ₹2.91 Lakhs to his bankroll. Shrivastava pocketed ₹1.34 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.
Well-known regs Rajat ‘sharabikebabi’ Sharma (3rd for ₹1.47 Lakhs), and Rubin ‘kornkid4’ Labroo (6th for ₹92,320) final-tabled the tournament.
