Sundays have always been the most action-packed day on the virtual felts, with the leading online poker sites running their biggest guaranteed flagships. Yesterday was no different. Spartan Poker and Adda52 dominated the action with their ₹1 Crore GTD tourneys, the GPS The Millionaire, and the Full House Finale, respectively. With such a plethora of marquees to choose from, many of the flagships were marred with overlays.

Nevertheless, here’s what went down on Sunday.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker’s Grand Poker Series closed out another smashing edition last night with the ₹1 Crore GTD GPS The Millionaire playing down to a winner. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney locked in 1,846 entries across four starting flights, overlaying ₹7.70 Lakhs. Day 2 commenced at 10 PM last night, with 248 runners in contention. After several hours of intense play, Spartan Poker regular ‘Tokio999’ emerged as the victor, taking home a hefty ₹17.29 Lakhs winner’s payday. They bested ‘HerMess’ (runner-up for ₹9.69 Lakhs) heads-up, en-route to claiming the title. The champion currently has ₹1.07 Crores in recorded earnings on Spartan Poker, with a net profit of ₹11.02 Lakhs.

Young Gun Anuj Kumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam (4th for ₹4.93 Lakhs), Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (7th for ₹2.36 Lakhs), Anmolraj Singh ‘sriracha’ Chawla (8th for ₹1.66 Lakhs), and Kashif ‘CRED’ Ahmed (9th for ₹1.27 Lakhs) final tabled the event.

The Sunday staple event on Spartan Poker, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD GPS#48 Sunday SuperStack, played out amid a strong 738-player pool that resulted in an overlay of ₹3.10 Lakhs. The inaugural Game Changer champion Prashanth ‘Anya Chalotra’ Sekar championed the tourney for ₹5.66 Lakhs, after striking a four-way deal with Abhishek ‘TheMagician’ Paul (runner-up for ₹4.82 Lakhs), ‘sunshay211‘ (3rd for ₹4.26 Lakhs), and Sandeep ‘effuno’ Varma RS (4th for ₹4,05,488).

Haider ‘Callmebabe’ Madraswala was the last player standing, and he netted ₹2.13 Lakhs, improving his online tally to ₹82.91 Lakhs.

Headlining the Sunday action on Pokerstars India was the ₹18 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special Progressive KO. Registering 316 contenders, the ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney suffered a deficit of ₹2.20 Lakhs. Sporting a ₹5,500 entry buy-in, the tournament logged in 393 entries and witnessed a shortfall of ₹35,000. This was Gujral’s third time winning this event. His lifetime tally has now crossed ₹3.38 Crores after the big Sunday score.
