Live tournament action was at it`s peak this past weekend on-board Casino Deltin Royale where the Deltin Poker Tournament is currently underway. However, that had little if any effect on the online attendance of players in the numerous high-value tournaments on domestic sites.

The BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD on India’s most trusted poker site PokerBaazi doled out some of the biggest cash prizes this past Sunday. The premier site’s mainstay event attracted an impressive field of 490 entries (309 entries and 181 re-entries) and spearheading the action was online regular Vinay ‘Vinstill’ BK (cover image). BK faced tough competition on the final table from prominent online pros, namely Abhishek ‘abhi3333’ Garg (9thfor ₹45,500), Durga pokerchess Deepak (7thfor ₹55,500), Shubham Shabbaking Singla (6thfor ₹73,000) and Sandeep effuno Varma RS (4thfor ₹1.50 Lakhs) and he came heads-up against Guruprasad ‘fish_calling’ Gupta (runner-up for ₹3.09 Lakhs), but that’s where he stole the game away from the teacher-turned poker pro Gupta to take home the ₹4.44 Lakhs top prize!

The headline event on the PokerStars India Sunday roster is the Sunday Special Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD and this past Sunday, the event registered a total of 272 entries (158 unique and 114 re-entries). Outlasting them all was The AnnihiIator who banked ₹4.08 Lakhs for his win. The runner-up finisher ‘Sogani22’, who had a busy Sunday dotted with several deep runs on PokerStars India, narrowly missed winning the title at the event for a second consecutive week and instead had to contend with ₹1.97 Lakhs in prize money. Nonetheless, he made up for it by shipping the Sunday Stars ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹47,497.

Team PokerGuru Ambassadors came out in full force. Notable scores from the team came from Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot who finished 8th for ₹45,500 in the BSS SuperStack, while Ashish Spewushhhiiiii Ahuja finished 9th for ₹23,254 in the Sunday Special on PokerStars India.

Other Sunday tournaments on PokerBaazi crowned champions in ‘AmitAnand’ (BSS PLO 5 Lakhs GTD (RE) for ₹1.06 Lakhs), Nikhil ‘rn275’ R (The Monster 6-Max 5 Lakhs GTD (RE) for ₹1 Lakh), ‘keith1982’ (Grinders #33 Main Event ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹88,900 and ‘kalyanmohan’ (Sunday ₹1 Lakh GTD (RE) for ₹18,761).

The other two events on the PokerStars India Sunday schedule were won by ‘Flipper108’ (Sunday Warm-Up for ₹26,238) and papakancha00 (Sunday Storm for ₹23,371).

At fast growing site Khelo, Sunday saw two big tournaments play out and crown champions in acehigh010’ (BIG Splash ₹75K GTD for ₹34,500), ‘Amitkhanna1’ (Deep Stack ₹30K GTD NLHE (Max 5 Rebuys) for ₹15,000).
