Live tournament action was at it`s peak this past weekend on-board Casino Deltin Royale where the Deltin Poker Tournament is currently underway. However, that had little if any effect on the online attendance of players in the numerous high-value tournaments on domestic sites.
The BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD on India’s most trusted poker site PokerBaazi doled out some of the biggest cash prizes this past Sunday. The premier site’s mainstay event attracted an impressive field of 490 entries (309 entries and 181 re-entries) and spearheading the action was online regular Vinay ‘Vinstill’ BK (cover image). BK faced tough competition on the final table from prominent online pros, namely Abhishek ‘abhi3333’ Garg (9thfor ₹45,500), Durga ‘pokerchess’ Deepak (7thfor ₹55,500), Shubham ‘Shabbaking’ Singla (6thfor ₹73,000) and Sandeep ‘effuno’ Varma RS (4thfor ₹1.50 Lakhs) and he came heads-up against Guruprasad ‘fish_calling’ Gupta (runner-up for ₹3.09 Lakhs), but that’s where he stole the game away from the teacher-turned poker pro Gupta to take home the ₹4.44 Lakhs top prize!
The headline event on the PokerStars India Sunday roster is the Sunday Special Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD and this past Sunday, the event registered a total of 272 entries (158 unique and 114 re-entries).
