While the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and $60 Million GTD partypoker Powerfest have been keeping the international online felts busy, the domestic virtual poker front has seen its fair share of action as well. Headlining the winners this week was Young Gun Arjanveer Singh Chadha (cover image) who took down two high value tournaments on two different online poker sites for a total sum of ₹3,63,527.
The Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) ₹15 Lakhs GTD SuperStack held on India’s most trusted poker site PokerBaazi yet again overshot its guarantee and the total prize pool touched. ₹16.40 Lakhs. Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘holdbaby’ topped the 206-entry field to take home the top prize of ₹3.19 Lakhs. ‘Dstar’ and ‘Raodyboy’ shipped the BSS PLO ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.47 Lakhs and BSS MegaStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.22 Lakhs respectively.
PokerStars India continues to fill in the overlays on some of its prominent tournaments and this week ‘pofunder’ took down the Sunday Special ₹15 Lakhs GTD for ₹2.85 Lakhs. Saurabh ‘brockLesnar95’ Khandelwal enjoyed a trailblazing run on Sunday where he posted scores in almost all major tournaments on PokerStars India including a title win at the Sunday Stars ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹48,682. Arjanveer ‘ballistik310’ Singh Chadha continued with his stellar form and claimed the first-place prize money worth ₹43,727 in the Sunday Storm ₹3 Lakhs GTD. ‘animesh624’ won the Sunday Warm Up ₹1 Lakhs GTD for ₹21,848.
A special StackUp tournament was hosted by the online poker site 9stacks this Sunday, which is an extension of the Daily StackUp tournament that takes place every day on 9stacks at 8:30 p.m., for a buy-in of ₹1,100 and guarantee of ₹1 Lakh. The event found a winner in 9stacks co-founder Sudhir ‘stacked’ Kamath who bagged ₹28,250 for his victory after defeating fellow co-founder Pratik Kumar heads-up.
The Sunday Grind series on MadOverPoker crowned winners in Karun ‘Puffblufpass’ Mandanna (Dynamite for ₹35,980), Navdeep ‘Psychonaut’ Sahi (Grenade for ₹17,743), Ankush ‘ankush004’ Jain (NightCrawler for ₹15,518) and Madhur T ‘Meth’ Sandal (Madhouse for ₹14,558).
