The festive season is upon us! And as a precursor to the busy season, Sunday was brimming with explosive action! While all the top poker sites had a lot to offer, Spartan Poker grabbed most of the attention by dishing out over ₹2.20 Crores in cash prizes on the last day of the India Turbo Masters 2.0!
Some of the biggest poker superstars in the country made the Sunday headlines! But it was well-known reg Tanmay Benara who towered over them all by nailing Spartan Poker’s ₹1.50 Crores GTD ITM #64 Main Event for a career-best ₹20.02 Lakhs (won ₹20.64 Lakhs overall).
In addition to fetching him Sunday’s single-biggest score, Benara`s massive Sunday haul pushed him past ₹1 Crore in online profits! Navaneesha P (2nd for a personal-best ₹18.43 Lakhs) and Akshat Sharma (3rd for a personal best ₹18.27Lakhs) pocketed seven-figure payouts, too, courtesy of a three-way deal.
The winningest player on our database, Young Gun Gaurav Sood, pulled out a Sunday coup with a blistering run in Spartan Poker’s Sunday High Roller, taking down the title for ₹10.15 Lakhs (won ₹11.82 Lakhs overall) – his first seven-figure score after a long gap. WSOP Online Circuit ring winner and the freshly minted The MoneyMaker champion, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja, chopped the HR title with Sood for ₹8.61 Lakhs (won ₹9.69 Lakhs overall).
The most profitable player of the year, ‘$lim$hady19’ (anonymity requested), didn`t let the ongoing cheating accusations keep him away from the massive Sunday grind! In his characteristic style, the poker pro shipped Spartan Poker’s ITM #62 Sunday Supersonic for ₹9.02 Lakhs, while the two-time The Millionaire champion, Rishab Malik, collected ₹5.73 Lakhs as the runner-up (won ₹8.47 Lakhs overall).’
Last month’s MoneyMaker champion, Anmol Mehta, had a field day on Adda52, winning his second Adda52 Millions title for ₹7.47 Lakhs (won ₹8.07 Lakhs overall). Ayush Arora finished runner-up for ₹4.45 Lakhs.
The long-time MTT pro and poker coach, Kanishka Samant broke a long dry spell yesterday, winning Adda52’s Mega Suits for the second time for ₹6.68 Lakhs (won ₹9.36 Lakhs overall). Young Gun Aayush Arya pocketed ₹3.89 Lakhs in second place.
The #1 ranked player on the annual charts for 31 weeks and counting, Young Gun Anuj Yadav played like he had a point to prove last night. The MTT crusher shipped PokerBaazi’s Sunday headliner, BSS SuperStack, for ₹6.51 Lakhs (won ₹7.72 Lakhs overall)! Last night’s BSS SPRINT champion, Amit Kaushik, settled for a runner-up finish worth ₹4.56 Lakhs (won ₹6.02 Lakhs overall).
The #1 ranked player of September, Vinayak Bajaj, picked up things right where he left them last month, booking a convincing victory in PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller worth ₹2.51 Lakhs (won ₹3.58 Lakhs overall). The user ‘kunalduggal13’ came second for ₹1.92 Lakhs.
The three-time The Millionaire champion ‘mdigurgaon’ (anonymity requested) added another feather to his cap, winning PokerStars India’s Sunday Special for ₹2.97 Lakhs. Upcoming pro Areyann Gurbaxani pocketed a site-best ₹1.87 Lakhs in second place.
PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit Wadhawan took down Spartan Poker’s ITM #65 Turbo for ₹1.53 Lakhs (won ₹2.55 Lakhs).
Ankit Singh, Sanjay Khanna, Harsh Dev Jhirmiria, and Clinton Tavares took down the other Sunday marquees!
