Even as the Indian poker community was sleeplessly railing the former WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer in the WSOP Main Event on Sunday, the virtual felts were also brimming with action. While the Indian busted out in 60th place for a $1,13,800 (~₹84.64 Lakhs) payday, quite a few ‘desi’ pros banked massive scores in the various Sunday flagships running last night.

Topping the Sunday charts was none other than the former Adda52 team pro Tarun Goyal, who took down the DOPT Main Event for a whopping ₹25.05 Lakhs payday.

Shagun Jain came close to clinching back-to-back titles yesterday. While the former Grand Mega Suits champion failed to ship the DOPT Main Event, settling for a runner-up finish worth ₹18.01 Lakhs, he went the distance in PokerStars India’s Sunday Special – Progressive KO to collect ₹2.69 Lakhs. Jain added a whopping ₹21.68 Lakhs yesterday.

Spartan Poker’s Sunday roster saw The Prestige returning for a third edition, and this time around, Akhilesh ‘Ikk@5′ Chauhan took down the event for ₹7.72 Lakhs. Vishnu Khandelwal picked up ₹7.23 Lakhs in the event (2nd for ₹6.88 Lakhs and 19th for ₹35,350).

PokerGuru Staking posted an immensely profitable Sunday with three PokerGuru Ambassadors shining through. PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj championed Spartan Poker`s Sunday Superstack for ₹4.27 Lakhs. He also FT-ed the DOPT Main event, netting ₹7.29 Lakhs overall.

PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh was another breakout winner who took down PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack for the second time last night for a 4.20 Lakhs payout.

Completing the trio of top finishes for the team was Laksh Pal Singh, the #3 ranked player of the year, who chopped the DOPT 6-Max Showdown title with Sam Anand to collect ₹5.92 Lakhs. Anand walked away with a ₹6.01 Lakhs payday.

Vaibhav Sharma came out on top in PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller to win ₹2.77 Lakhs. The MTT beast made away with almost ₹4.07 Lakhs in total winnings yesterday on the back of five ITM finishes.

Tanmay Benara, Punya Behera, Arun Sriram, Vinay Rajpal, Taliwabang Jamir, Biplob Rana, Sumit Bajaj, Yogesh Choudhary, Sanket Deshmukh, Gautam Sachdeva, and Sandeep Varma RS shipped the other Sunday marquees!

Spartan Poker’s ₹50 Lakhs GTD The Prestige returned for its third outing this past weekend. The ₹5,500 buy-in event gathered 975 participants, overlaying ₹1.25 Lakhs. In the wee hours of Monday morning, Akhilesh ‘Ikk@5′ Chauhan emerged as the champion, walking away with a personal-best ₹7.72 Lakhs, helping them recover almost all their past losses on the site!

Vishnu ‘violator’ Khandelwal locked up ₹6.88 Lakhs in second place, courtesy of a heads-up deal. He also finished 19th in the event for ₹35,350, pocketing ₹7.23 Lakhs overall in the event.

The former Millionaire champion, PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal ‘CrownUpJr’ Bajaj, shipped the ₹30 Lakhs GTD Sunday Superstack for ₹6.34 Lakhs, winning the Sunday signature event for the first time last night. ‘2Pac4life’ finished runner-up for ₹4.27 Lakhs.

After almost eight hours of gameplay, PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘thepokeraja’ Mahesh championed the event for the second time this year, adding ₹4.20 Lakhs to his tally. Apaar ‘floatfish’ Gautam finished runner-up for a personal-best ₹2.94 Lakhs.

The former The Millionaire champion, Mahesh, had previously won the BSS Superstack on July 11 for ₹4.23 Lakhs. He cashed in another four events yesterday, banking a cumulative ₹4.96 Lakhs, climbing his way back to #6 place in the annual leaderboard rankings.

The former Adda52 Big Game champion Arun ‘vazharmorghulis’ Sriram decimated the competition to win ₹1.28 Lakhs, with Aayush ‘Learnnwin’ Arya placing runner-up for ₹89,729.

The ₹5,500 buy-in tourney registered 278 participants, falling ₹1.10 Lakhs short of breaking even on the guarantee. The Game Changer 2.0 champion Shagun ‘Sogani22’ Jain was the last player standing and won the Sunday Special title for the second time and a winner’s paycheque worth ₹2.69 Lakhs (includes ₹1.34 Lakhs in bounties). Young Gun Ujjwal ‘CougarHunter69’ Narwal finished runner-up for ₹2.11 Lakhs (includes ₹75,430 in bounties).

The latest edition of the Adda52-hosted Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) finally came to a close on Sunday, with nine different events playing down to a winner.

The star attraction last night was undoubtedly the 1.50 Crores GTD DOPT Main Event Finale. The six-flight Main Event had 149 survivors from a starting field of 1,242 total entries converging for Day 2 at 10 PM last night. There was massive value for all participating players, with the Main Event filling in a landslide 25.80 Lakhs in overlays. It was past 3 AM by the time a winner emerged, and walking away with the title was none other than the site`s former Team Pro Tarun ‘aggtarun’ Goyal, who collected a career-best 25.05 Lakhs for the win! The GameChanger 2.0 champion and yesterday`s Sunday Special winner Shagun ‘sogani94’ Jain picked up the runner-up score worth 18.01 Lakhs.

Arguably one of the top online pros in India, Tarun Goyal is a former IT professional who had won the DPT 10K Kickoff in 2016. While he has won online marquees like the Adda52 Millions and Godfather 7.0 on Adda52, he also has final-tabled big-ticket tourneys like the AOPS Main Event Finale, the WPT India Super High Roller, and the Adda52 Colossus in the past. Still, the DOPT Main Event victory is Goyale’s best online score to date and the first flagship title he has won on the site this year.

PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal ‘BoomTilt23’ Singh picked up 5.92 Lakhs in second place, courtesy of a heads-up deal.

Sam Anand posted top finishes in two more events, collectively winning 6.98 Lakhs. He now boasts 39.06 Lakhs in site winnings and a corresponding 10.47 Lakhs in net profits.

Among the other DOPT title winners on the final day of the series was ‘happyfish’ (anonymity requested). The online reg overcame a 447-entry field in the 5 Lakhs GTD DOPT Madness to win 1.31 Lakhs, with Devrat ‘Vickypune’ Singh placing runner-up for 74,174.

Site regular Tanmay ‘PlusEv’ Benara finished third in the DOPT Sunday Special for 1.37 Lakhs and supplemented his Sunday winnings by 84,000 after taking down the 3 Lakhs GTD DOPT Warm Up earlier in the day. Clubbed with another five ITM finishes, Benara made away with almost 2.56 Lakhs on Sunday, boosting his lifetime tally to 1.06 Crore.

Khelo365’s Sunday marquee, the 1 Lakh GTD, Big Bang, was taken down by the user Ronaldinho for 37,000. GautamSingh secured the second-place finish for 25,000.

Site regular ‘Santoshi’ fired three bullets in the 50K GTD Dominator before toppling the 97-player field to win 15,000. ANGLE99 came second for 10,000.
