PokerBaazi’s marquee online tournament, The Game Changer 2.0, is steadily making its way towards the 4K-entry mark. The second starting flight, Day 1B also superseded its predecessors’ record (Day 1B of Game Changer 1.0 had logged in 1,149 entries), registering 1,182 entries (701 unique and 481 re-entries) to take the overall field size to 2,325 entries in two days!

Following five hours of intense action, Prakash’ pinnug’ Gupta skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboard, securing a stack of 591,291 in the process. He was followed by ‘RamSlam’ (392,730) and’ Anish’ Illusionist’ Patra (365,889), who rounded out the top three stacks among the 115 Day 1B survivors.

With two more starting flights left to play out, The Game Changer 2.0 is all but assured to obliterate the attendance record of 3,777 entries set by the inaugural Game Changer earlier this year.

Day 1B Recap

Another mind-boggling day on the virtual felts saw 1,182 entries (701 unique and 481 re-entries) rolling in on Day 1B of The Game Changer 2.0. The event began at 8 PM last night and ran till 1 AM on August 23. After five hours of play had concluded only 115 players had survived the Day 1B onslaught and made it through to Day 2.

Several notable names were among the 115 survivors, including Rajat ‘LungFakeer’ Sharma (278,885), Utsav ‘ranny006’ Taneja (210,133), Siddharth ‘si151190’ Mehndiratta (77,982), Nishant ‘nishant177’ Sharma (72,002), Guruprasad ‘fish_calling’ Gupta (71,714), Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal (68,308), Sriharsha ‘ivey2’ Doddapaneni (56,550), Sahil ‘CairyHunt’ Agarwal (56,430), Maria ‘MariaKirloskar’ Kirloskar (29,461), and Aman ‘alwaysriver’ Kejriwal (29,461).

Rajat Sharma who ended the day as one of the top stacks is in fact, presently in Barcelona participating in the 2019 European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona. He had busted Day 1B of the EPT National event but made amends with a productive online session later on PokerBaazi.

Like the last edition, The Game Changer 2.0 allowed players to qualify through multiple flights and eventually their best stack would be carried forward to Day 2. Taking advantage of the “Best Stack” format, Chirag ‘miyagi’ Sodha was among the few Day 1A qualifiers who entered Day 1B. Sodha did find a more massive stack on his second attempt, bagging 191,647 in chips as compared to his Day 1A stack of 132,221.

PokerGuru Ambassadors were also seen in the mix and among the ones who progressed to Day 2 were Shuchi ‘pescatarian8’ Chamaria (281,652) and Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved (161,495). Both Team Ambassadors are experienced campaigners on PokerBaazi. While Chamaria posted her biggest online score of ₹3.39 Lakhs in The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD in March, Ved took down the Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD for ₹5.53 Lakhs last Sunday.

PokerGuru Staking’s Vikram ‘VikramKumar’ Kumar also bagged a stack of 86,884 for Day 2.

Prakash ‘pinnug’ Gupta was sitting with the largest stack of 591,291 at the end of Day 1B, surpassing Day 1A chip leader, Saravana ‘rhiotaphi_new’ K, who had accrued 500,753 in chips. Gupta is trailed by ‘RamSlam’ (392,730) and Anish ‘Illusionist’ Patra (365,889), who are a distant second and third in chips, respectively.
