Yet another successful week for Indian poker players has come to an end and as the action heads to Macau for the PokerStars promoted Macau Poker Cup here is a lowdown on all the online action from the Indian circuit along with great online promotion announcements by some of the biggest online poker room operators.

Online Railbird Report

The biggest winners of the week were Team mentor Aditya ‘Intervntion’ Agarwal and young gun of poker Amit ‘bblacklegend’ Jain. Aditya continued his good run from last week by winning the PokerStars big $ 16.5 for $ 4,306.58 and finishing runner-up in the big $ 22 for a score of $ 8,227.44. Amit Jain has been leading the 2013 online leaderboard for India and this week saw him add some more points to his kitty with a 4th place finish in the PokerStars $82 (15K GTD) – $ 1,993.92 and 2nd place in the hot $109 – $ 3,345! Other big scorers included Danish Shaikh (1st in 888 Poker 5K GTD – $ 1,603.8) and Kavish Kukreja (1st in PokerStars $33 6-Max 10K GTD – $ 2,829).

PokerAce Reveals Poker Hero Asia Promotion worth $30,000

Online card room PokerAce is making waves anew in the poker scene when it announced its pledge to award the winner of Poker Hero Asia “single table” final an exclusive and lucrative professional poker contract worth $30,000. The winner will come from among the 7-handed final table – 6 coming from PokerAce online qualifiers and the other one from Asian Poker Tour (APT) live events.

APT will run one Poker Hero Asia event every stop this year with participating players earning points. At the end of the year, the player with the most accumulated points on the Poker Hero Asia APT Leaderboard gets a seat in the Poker Hero Asia final.

The ultimate winner will receive the $30,000 package– a $10,000 travel expense to trot around Asia playing in the best poker tournaments and the $20,000 worth of tournament buy-ins for 2014 APT events. Moreover, the Poker Hero Asia will be one of the faces of PokerAce alongside popular pros Joe Hachem, JC Tran, Nam Le and Steve Gee and will join the team in representing PokerAce for the duration of the 12-month contract.

PokerStars Red Spade Open

World`s largest online poker room operator PokerStars recently announced the return of its $55 Red Spade Open which boasts of a $1 million prizepool guarantee along with $100 bounties on Team PokerStars and Team Online pros. The 5th edition of Red Spade Open is set for 28th April and members can find the tournament on the PokerStars lobby under ‘Tourney’ – ‘Special’ tab.

Full Tilt Poker Introduces ‘New to the Games’ Tables

In a major move towards becoming even more user friendly for first time users, Full Tilt Poker has introduced New to the Games tables. The New to the Games tables are available in all variants i.e. ring games, tournaments and sit-n-go`s and features a slower game speed alongside displaying key information like hand strength. Eligibility to the games is however, restricted for each game variant and players can join the New to the Games tables only if they have played less than 2,000 hands in that particular variant. Eligibility for each game variant is independent of the other and allows players to play upto 2 New to the Games tables at once.

Kevin Eyster Tops WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown

Kevin Eyster has had a breakout year so far scoring big both online and live. Just a few weeks following his impressive win in FTOPS XII Event #34 – $2100 No Limit Hold’em Six Max Re-entry for a whopping $ 333,680, Kevin was once again on the podium as a WPT champion in Florida. Kevin was the last player standing in the 542 player field and even managed to maintain the chip lead for 3 days straight on his way to bagging the $ 660,395 first place prize.
