This week we witnessed a lot of poker action on the live and online felt. Many of the top Indian pros scored big online this week while on the other side of continent on the sunny shores of Australia, Jim Collopy won his 1st WSOP bracelet. In other big news Full Tilt poker recently announced the return of the MiniFTOPS series!

It has been a busy week for Indian pros online with many cashing big scores. A massive team grind took place on Sunday following the PGT April series and the biggest score of the night came from Team mentor Aditya ‘Intervention’ Agarwal who scored his biggest win of the year by finishing 5th in the bigger $109 on PokerStars for $14,585.60. Team pro Kunal Chandra made a deep finish in the PokerStars bigger $162 cashing $2,121. The other big score on Sunday came from Kavish Kukreja who finished runners-up in the PokerStars $82 6-max (hyper turbo). Another success story this week has been Jasven Saigal who scored twice, first by winning the PokerStars big $22 for $11,673 and second by finishing 3rd in the PokerStars $55 ($10K gtd).

Jim Collopy Wins WSOP APAC Event #2, Phil Ivey Wins 9th WSOP Bracelet

PGT December edition 6th place finisher Jim Collopy`s long awaited wait for a WSOP bracelet is now over. He recently added the coveted gold bracelet to his list of possessions by winning the inaugural WSOP Asia Pacific 2013 event #2: $ 1,650 Pot Limit Omaha taking home the top prize of AUD $69,662. With this win, Jim`s career live tournament winnings have crossed $700,000!

Phil Ivey joined Johnny Moss as the fourth all time highest WSOP bracelet winner by taking down his 9th WSOP bracelet in the WSOP APAC event #3: $2,200 mixed event at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. While Ivey cashed for AUD $51,840, his good friend and Team PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu was close behind in 4th place bagging AUD $16,336 for his efforts.

Full Tilt Poker MiniFTOPS XXII

Full Tilt Poker has recently announced the schedule for its MiniFTOPS XXII series, which starts on Sunday, April 21st featuring a whopping USD 4 Million in guaranteed prizemoney. The 38 event series include the $70 + $5 Main Event, the Two-Day Event, featuring a $200 + $16 buy-in, and the $24 + $2 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max Knockout Event.

The series also includes exclusive new tournaments such as Irish (Event #1) and 5-Card Stud (Event #25).
