In the PokerGuru feature ‘This Week in Poker’ we bring to you the weekly round up of the biggest online scores by Indian MTT players along with the top stories from both the live and online poker circuit.

While a few pros have flown down to Macau for the PokerStars APPT Season 7, the online felts were definitely not short on representation by the Indian pros. The biggest scorer of the week was Mumbai based Amit ‘bblacklegend’ Jain who won $6,055 for his 2nd place finish in the PokerStars $54 NL Hold’em Turbo, Knockout, ($16K GTD).

Another consistent player who has been doing well playing online is ‘aniceboy’. His biggest score of the week came when he won the PokerStars $82 NL Hold’em 6-Max, Hyper-Turbo, ($15K GTD) for $4475.

A few more notables sharing the limelight this week include Dhaval Mudgal (won $3,012.07 for 5th place finish in the PokerStars ‘The Hot $55, $30K GTD’), Sailesh Lohia (won $1,904.00 for 4th place finish in the PokerStars The Hot $109, $10K GTD), young gunSahil ‘antiloG’ Agarwal (won $1,788.26 for 7th place finish in the PokerStars $8.80+R NL Hold’em, $30K GTD) and Kanishka ‘Kanishka27’ Samant (won $1,365.25 for 5th place finish in the PokerStars $3.30+R NL Hold’em, $15K GTD).

Adda52 – Exclusive online satellite freeroll partners for IPC Colombo

Indian Poker Championship is going international by hosting a five days poker tournament at Bally’s Casino, Colombo in Sri Lanka. This will be the first time for IPC to organize such an event outside India. Although the championship will kick off from July 17th 2013, Adda52.com, which is an exclusive online satellite partner for the championship, will host the satellite events for the championship, from June 10th 2013 onwards.

These satellite events, which are known as IPC Colombo satellites, have ₹3.5 Lakhs to offer to the participants. There are two phases of these online satellites. In the first phase, daily satellites will be conducted from June 10th to July 6th from Monday to Friday at 9 P.M. Entry to these IPC Colombo qualifiers will be free. Everyday a total of six qualifiers will qualify for the IPC Colombo satellite freeroll which will be held on 15, 22, 29th June and 6th July at 10 P.M.

All the qualifiers will then battle it out in IPC Colombo satellite freeroll for the top prize of an entry to the IPC Main Event worth ₹43,500 along with ₹25,000 worth of travel. The player who will finish second will get an entry ticket of IPC worth ₹15,000 and the third prize is ₹5,000 real cash bonus in the player’s Adda52.com poker account.

‘microulis69’ Wins $103,800 in the 100 Billionth Hand on PokerStars

The highly anticipated PokerStars’ 100 billionth hand got dealt on Thursday. To celebrate this joyous moment a host of cash prizes have been awarded to the players who were a part of this exciting journey.

As expected it took players by surprise when the table froze to announce that the 100 billionth hand was about to be dealt to them. The lucky players were seated on the table Euryalos XI playing micro stakes $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max, when the Million Dollar Hand was dealt. The winner of the hand was “microulis69” from Greece, who received $103,800 payday, the highest payout ever for a milestone hand promotion. Apart from the winner, all the remaining five players at the table got a share of $65,460 along with another $830,790.34 handed out in cash rewards to 9,471 more players for playing while the 100-billionth hand was dealt.

The celebration continues throughout the month with a host of other promotions in store. Coming up this Sunday is a World Record Tournament,featuring a $1 buy-in with a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool and at least $25,000 promised to the eventual winner.

DeepStacks Poker Tour Mohegan Sun World Championship Set for November 18-25, 201

The 2013 DeepStacks Poker Tour Mohegan Sun World Championship is a 12-event series that begins with the $300 buy-in, $30,000 GTD event and concludes with the $2500 buy-in, $500,000 GTD televised Main Event. The series is set to begin from Nov 18th to last till Nov 25th at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn and guarantees a total of $650,000 in prize money.
