Daniel Negreanu vs. Doug Polk – High Stakes Feud – Sessions 23, 24 & 25

The High Stakes Feud between arch-rivals Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk played out three sessions this week. The duo has played 25 sessions so far, with Polk ahead for $616,722.56 with 14,500 hands of the 25,000-hand challenge in the books.

We have to hand it to Negreanu though, the six-time bracelet winner was stuck almost seven-figures at one point but that didn`t deter him from quitting the challenge at the half-way stage. The decision seems to have worked out well for the Canadian pro, who is on a four-day winning streak.

Here’s a quick rundown of the last three sessions.

Polk started Session #23 in the lead for $770,254.08. The GGPoker Ambassador Negreanu fought back hard, booking a profit of $27,005.80 across 500 hands to reduce his overall deficit to $743,248.28. This was the second consecutive winning day for Negreanu.

In Session #24, Negreanu cut back his losses for $98,579.92 after 750 hands to reduce his overall deficit to $644,668.36.

Session #25 was played across 750 hands, and Negreanu booked his fourth consecutive profitable session. He won $27,945.80 through the day to reduce his overall deficit to $616,722.56.

This week, the duo played four sessions, completing 23,500 hands of their 35,000-hand challenge. After 45 sessions, Galfond leads Kornuth for $544,500.

In Session #42, the duo played 500 hands, with Galfond dropping $33,000 to Kornuth.

Session #43 saw Kornuth registering another winning day, profiting $46,500 after 500 hands to bring his overall deficit down to $272,500.

After two back-to-back losing sessions, Galfond won Session #44, adding $80,000 to his profits across 500 hands.
