PokerGuru’s Arpit Jain, a.k.a. Chhota Machhi, put up a charity stream last week, playing PokerStars India’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Eliminator. Returning to streaming after a two-week break after recovering from COVID-19, Jain announced he would donate all his winnings to a certified charity. All he could win was just one player bounty after being delivered a series of setbacks.

GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu put up the third episode of his “Old School VS New School Poker Analysis” series. This series has him discussing an old hand or spot from an Old School feel-based perspective and then approaching the same hand from the modern game theory standpoint.
This time, the six-time bracelet winner Negreanu dissected a hand he played at the 2015 WSOP Main Event against Joe McKeehen. This week, PokerStars Retro traveled back in time to Season 2 of the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), reliving the epic live poker action from two stops – the first and the only ever Mexican stop of the LAPT in December 2008 and another hosted in Uruguay.
In a bizarre incident during the ninth level of play of the Mexican stop, and 89 players remaining, the authorities revoked the venue’s gaming license and shut down the casino. All surviving contestants were paid $5,000 from the prize pool, $500 in compensation, and PokerStars hosted a $50K Freeroll for them. The final nine players of the Freeroll reconvened at the LAPT Uruguay in March 2009 to play down to a winner.
