The first of the two Main Events at the 2022 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Cyprus, Event #8: €100,000 Main Event, crowned a winner in Thai poker pro Punnat Punsri (cover image). The cash-game pro topped a field of 99 entries (including 34 re-entries), taking home a ginormous $2.60 Million payday – his best live score to date. Hong Kong’s Wayne Heung finished runner-up for a career-best of $1,825,000.
Punnat Punsri was a relatively unknown player in the community until this year when he finished third in the 2022 WSOP Event #12: $50K High Roller NLHE for $593,481. He made another close run to the bracelet in the WSOP Event #76: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty, where he finished runner-up for $170,615. After winning his maiden Triton Poker title, Punsri boosted his live earnings to $4,276,879.

Day 3 Recap
The final day began with Wiktor Malinowski (118 BBs) leading the 13 survivors, well ahead of his closest rival, Wayne Heung (81 BBs).
The top 13 places were paid, and Paul Phua (11th for $225,000), Laszlo Bujtas (12th for $198,000), and Isaac Haxton (13th for $198,000) were some notables to cash the event.
Seth Davies was eliminated in tenth place for $225,000 to set the nine-handed FT in motion.

The first final table casualty was Horace Wei, and he hit the rail in ninth place after his lost the race against Punnat Punsri’s .
Soon after, Artem Vezhenkov got knocked out in eighth place, falling to a bad beat. His pocket nines were ahead of Henrik Hecklen’s pocket eights, but Hecklen rivered a set, prematurely ending Vezhenkov`s deep run.
After Vezhenkov, fellow Russian Artur Martirosian joined the rail in seventh place. His lost out to Henrik Hecklen’s .
Finishing in sixth place was Gregoire Auzoux. His couldn`t match up against Wiktor Malinowski’s .
Next up, GGPoker Ambassador Jason Koon fell in fifth place when his pocket fours were bested by Punnat Punsri’s .
The defending champion Henrik Hecklen quickly followed Koon to the rail in fourth place. His failed to hold against Punnat Punsri’s . The flop gave Punsri a pair of tens, ending Hecklen’s run.
After losing a monster pot to Punnat Punsri, Wiktor Malinowski moved all-in with but couldn`t get past Punsri’s , collecting a third-place payday.
The heads-up match got over fast. On the final hand, Wayne Heung held a dominant against Punnat Punsri’s . But an eight in the window awarded Punsri the title and the $2.60 Million up top.
