Sunday night saw the Indian rail anxiously awaiting the conclusion of the 2022 WSOP Event #66: $1,000 Mini-Main No-Limit Hold ’em, where PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik Ved was second in chips with five players remaining. While the Goa resident narrowly missed his career-second bracelet, finishing third for $275,593 (~₹2.17 Crores), he managed to rake in the highest score by an Indian at this year`s series and the fourth-best finish by an Indian ever at the annual series.
While the Bally`s and Paris in Las Vegas was brimming with activity, there was no shortage of action on the digital felts across the domestic sites. Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal emerged as Sunday`s top scorer after championing Spartan Poker’s ₹50 Lakhs GTD Sunday High Roller for ₹13.57 Lakhs. Aayush Arya, who sattied his way into the event, collected ₹11.13 Lakhs in second place following a heads-up deal. He pocketed ₹11.93 Lakhs on the back of three ITM finishes.
Arun Sriram jumped three spots on the annual rankings, landing on #7 after a spectacular Sunday run with ₹11.13 Lakhs in total winnings. He FT-ed the Sunday High Roller and won PokerBaazi’s APT#13 Monsterstack for ₹3.32 Lakhs, along with cashing two other events.
Abhishek Kumar won the other Sunday flagship on Spartan Poker, the ₹35 Lakhs GTD Sunday Superstack, for the second time, banking a personal-best ₹8.08 Lakhs. He, too, scored in multiple events, netting ₹9.53 Lakhs overall. Bhushan Sohani finished runner-up in the Sunday Superstack and collectively added ₹5.39 Lakhs.
Avinash Kumar went on a scorching run across the APT Online India events on PokerBaazi yesterday and cashed three events for a hefty ₹8.87 Lakhs, including the APT trophy event of the day, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD APT#15 Sunday Major, for a career-best ₹8.08 Lakhs.
Anant Purohit collected almost ₹7 Lakhs across his Sunday run, including winning Adda52`s Mega Suits for an impressive third time for ₹6.61 Lakhs.
Sanket Jain championed the other Adda52 flagship, Adda52 Millions, for ₹6.86 Lakhs, picking up his first title in over a year. The former Game Changer champion JaiKiran Kumar collected ₹4 Lakhs in second place.
PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Munot has been on a breakout run since last week and won his second flagship title of the month after taking down Spartan Poker`s Armageddon for ₹4.37 Lakhs. He chopped the top prize heads-up with musician and poker pro Dhaval Mudgal (2nd for ₹4.01 Lakhs).
One of seven players on our tracked database with over ₹10 Crores in tracked winnings, Sahil Mahboobani shipped PokerBaazi`s APT#16 Megastack for ₹3.24 Lakhs.
