The World Poker Tour Online India (WPTOI) series closed out its penultimate week`s run on Adda52 on Sunday, and the ₹1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9 dominated the day`s action. The multi-flight tourney finally saw the Adda52 regular ‘xoredvoid’ besting Vaibhav Sharma in the heads-up finale to take home the single-biggest payout of Sunday worth ₹17 Lakhs!
Vaibhav Sharma charted a trailblazing run in the WPT Online marquees last night. He might have missed winning the WPT Quad 9 but took down the other trophy event of the day, the WPT 3000. In fact, the online phenom also final-tabled PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack, lapping up ₹17.13 Lakhs in Sunday winnings.
Spartan Poker hosted it’s third The Millionaire edition of August, and topping the 1,863-entry field was Rishab Malik. He agreed to a heads-up deal with ‘HatodaTyagi’ (2nd for ₹13.19 Lakhs) before claiming his first-ever Millionaire title for ₹13.75 Lakhs (cumulatively). Malik posted three more deep runs on Sunday, ending the night with a collective ₹14.55 Lakhs added to his kitty.
Poker streamer Amit Kaushik took down Spartan Poker`s Sunday Superstack for ₹8.24 Lakhs. He was among the multiple scorers of the day, ultimately netting ₹10.50 Lakhs on the back of seven ITM finishes.
Speaking of big Sunday winners, Srihari Bang was another player who made quite the run. The young pro had been keeping a low profile lately. On Friday, he bounced back into the spotlight when he ended his three-month title drought by taking down PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller. Last night, he did even better, pocketing ₹10.52 Lakhs from three ITM finishes, including two final table payouts.
The well-known TLB crusher Bhanu Prakash KC shipped PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack for ₹3.93 Lakhs, while Rajat Sharma championed PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller for ₹3.07 Lakhs.

The third Millionaire edition of August came to a thrilling close last night with the EndBoss fifth-place finisher Rishab ‘NoChanc3’ Malik shipping the title for ₹13.62 Lakhs. He also placed 146th in the event for ₹12,400, netting a personal-best (on Spartan Poker) ₹13.75 Lakhs. He posted three more ITM finishes (across different events), earning a collective ₹14.55 Lakhs.
Last night`s victory fetched Malik his sixth title win for the year, which helped him become the 60th player to breach the “₹1 Crore” mark in yearly scores. PokerBaazi’s staple Sunday flagship, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD BSS SuperStack, obliterated its listed guarantee by ₹90,000 on the back of 458 entrants. After an eight-hour-plus grind, TLB legend Bhanu ‘Chennaino1’ Prakash KC (opted out of our tracked database) came out on top to collect ₹3.93 Lakhs. He chopped the title heads with Sagar ‘sagarpupul’ Choudhury (2nd for ₹3.89 Lakhs), the latter breaching the ₹7 Crore mark in tracked online earnings (₹1.12 Crores in net profits)!
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD BSS SPRINT was taken down by Bharat ‘Thinkfloyd’ Vasan, who bagged ₹1.30 Lakhs and the title after prevailing over PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘Emperor457’ Veeravalli (2nd for ₹91,450) in the heads-up clash. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in event generated a profitable ₹5.90 Lakhs prize pool after bringing in 295 runners, and the top 36 places got paid.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD BSS Monster Stack gathered a player pool of 215 entrants who signed up for ₹2,750, and the top 27 places boarded the money bus. Vikram ‘Poker_lover’ Mishra raced past the competition to earn a winner’s paycheck worth ₹1.26 Lakhs. The site-reg ‘acessorted’ placed runner-up for ₹88,741.

A total of seven WPT titles were awarded on Day 22 of the Adda52-hosted World Poker Tour (WPT) Online India. Headlining the Sunday action was the ₹1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9 that played out the final two of its eight flights before starting with Day 2 proceedings at 11 PM. By the time the registrations on the last flight closed, the event had clocked in 1,069 entries, resulting in a ₹2.73 Lakhs overlay shortfall.
There were 131 qualifiers in action in the finale, with 125 assured a payout. It took nearly five-and-half hours of action before the dust settled, and the mystery player ‘xoredvoid’ clinched the WPT trophy. The player bagged a whopping ₹17 Lakhs (which happens to be the single-biggest Sunday score) after beating Vaibhav ‘alienrobot’ Sharma (2nd for ₹12.16 Lakhs) to the finish line.
‘xorodvoid’ almost doubled his site cashes which now stand at ₹37.42 Lakhs (₹15.16 Lakhs in site profits).
Last Friday`s WPT India High Roller eighth-place finisher Vaibhav Sharma was a real trailblazer. Sharma may have lost the trophy in the WPT Quad 9 but grabbed one in the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT 3000, where he trounced a 612-player field, eventually pocketing ₹3.44 Lakhs. He struck a heads-up deal with Sahil ‘imhighishove’ Mahboobani (2nd for ₹3.24 Lakhs).
Not stopping at that, Sharma also placed fourth in the BSS SuperStack, collectively earning ₹17.13 Lakhs on Sunday!

The WPT Unreal guarantees a mind-blowing ₹1 Crore at only ₹499, and the tournament ran two more of its starting flights on Sunday. Flight 22 registered 427 entries, eventually halting with 30 bagging stacks for Day 2. ‘Happyfish’ (587,503) grabbed the most enormous stack, with Puneet ‘j4jolly’ Mishra (466,043) and ‘zameerkagal’ (356,225) rounding out the top three stacks from the flight.
Another flight commenced proceedings at 7.30 PM. Flight 23 drew 249 runners. Only 21 of them could bag stacks for Day 2. ‘HitGold’ (361,238) bagged the end-of-day chip lead, with ‘Anindian’ (356,263) and Sumit ‘runrabbitrun’ Advani (350,464) being the other two top stacks from Flight 23. Along with 10,613 prior entries, the tournament has drawn 11,289 participants, with another seven flights to go before Day 2 on August 29 (7 PM).
The ₹3 Crore GTD WPT Main Event is the showstopper of the ongoing WPTOI series, and players can enter the ₹16,500 entry buy-in tourney via any of the 10 starting flights. Day 1A ran from 8 PM to 12.10 AM yesterday, drawing 184 players. Only 23 progressed to Day 2, with ‘rajatsahni’ (354,983) bagging the most enormous stack in the opening flight. Shrey ‘CupidStunt’ Maheshwary (261,050) and Sahil ‘bluffme19’ Chutani (238,717) are the other top stacks who qualified from Day 1A.

The top order of the WPT Online Mega Leaderboard standings remains unchanged after Day 22. Raghav ‘FuckedUpLife’ Siddalanga continues to lead the rankings but has strengthened his position with 1,027 points. PokerGuru Ambassadors Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (941 points) and Ankit ‘d00mtr003r’ Wadhawan (924 points) stay put at the #2 & #3 spot in the standings, respectively.

PokerStars India hiked the guarantees of both its Sunday marquees this week. While the Sunday Special – Progressive KO had its guarantee increased from ₹15 Lakhs to ₹18 Lakhs, the Sunday Highroller guarantee was boosted from ₹12 Lakhs to ₹15 Lakhs.
The Sunday Special – Progressive KO commenced at 5 PM. It took about eight hours for Mandar ‘MAMA4000’ Madaye to emerge as the victor, taking home a ₹3.25 Lakhs (includes ₹1.27 Lakhs in bounties) payday.
Nitin ‘Checkshoveit’ Arora finished runner-up for ₹2.34 Lakhs (includes ₹37,48 in bounties). He also posted four other ITM finishes, accumulating ₹3.66 Lakhs in Sunday winnings.
