World Poker Tour & partypoker LIVE Enter Into 4-Year Partnership

In a press release issued on August 29, World Poker Tour (WPT) announced that the poker giant would be entering a four-year long partnership with another industry titan partypoker LIVE. The deal is designed to offer poker players, located worldwide, more options for choosing where to play. The two companies will combine their forces to host seven events across Canada and Europe, with each having a prize pool guarantee up to €3 million.

The very first outcome of this partnership will be a poker festival held at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal. Beginning in late October 2018, this festival will be the first of its kind in the history of the WPT, when WPT500, WPTDeepStacks, and WPT Main Tour events will be hosted together in the form of an all-encompassing WPT series for players of all levels. This will be followed by additional events in Sochi, Russia, sometime in February 2019 and in Dusk Till Dawn, United Kingdom in April 2019. Further announcements regarding future events will be made soon.

The WPT-partypoker collaboration will also give players the opportunity to qualify for these events online at partypoker for as little as $0.01. A minimum 300 seats will be on offer via qualifying promotions from partypoker, for every WPT Main Event that the two brands conduct together.

As a result of the four-year deal, partypoker LIVE Dollars will also be introduced to WPT events. Live streams of new events will be available from WPT and partypoker LIVE (through My partypoker LIVE app).
