The WSOP bracelet winner holds a commanding chip lead on the VN₫ 8 Billion GTD WPC-SEAPT Main Event final table (9 Million), with Nguyen Quang Minh (6,100,000) and Ha Manh Tuong (4,100,000) rounding out the top three stacks.

With Ved a strong contender to win the Main Event title, fellow Indian Deepak Bothra is also in contention. However, he will be entering the final table with the second shortest stack of 2 Million among the eight finalists.

The 2022 WPC-SEAPT Series VN₫ 8 Billion GTD Main Event commenced on September 20 at the Grand Loyal Poker Club Hanoi in Vietnam. The VN₫ 20 Million (~$843) buy-in tourney attracted 1,020 entries across four starting flights, generating a guarantee-crushing VN₫ 17,809,200,000 (~$751,126) prize pool.

A total of 128 starting flight survivors returned for Day 2 on Friday, where they played down to the eight-handed final table.

Bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer came close to booking a seat at the final table but sadly fell out in ninth place for VN₫ 295 Million.

PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit Wadhawan (25th for VN₫ 90 Million), Kunal Patni (30th for VN₫ 90 Million), Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi (31st for VN₫ 90 Million), Sumit Sapra (55th for VN₫ 58 Million), Siddharth Mundada (62nd for VN₫ 51 Million), Young Gun Gaurav Sood (92nd for VN₫ 35 Million) and Jasven Saigal (106th for VN₫ 33 Million) rounded out the Indian payouts at the WPC-SEAPT Main Event.

The PokerGuru Staking top gun, Ved, has had a phenomenal run throughout 2022. Ved championed NPS#69 – Super Highroller back in March. His blistering run in the 2022 World Series of Poker saw him post two brilliant final table finishes. The Goa resident emerged as the Indian ‘Star of the Series!’

Ved had entered Day 2 of the WPC-SEAPT Main Event with a stack of 374,000. He eliminated several players on Day 2, including Kim Choong Sub (11th for VN₫ 235 Million) and Dang Van Hien (18th for VN₫ 127 Million), ending the day with a massive 9 Million stack.

A former WPT champion, Bothra, has been in good form over the past few months, having finished third in the VND 4 Billion GTD Championships Event at the 2022 APT Summer Festival Hanoi – VSOP two months ago. While the journey to the title will be challenging, Bothra is skilled enough to accomplish the task.

The eight finalists will convene at the final table at noon on September 24, with all eyes on the VN₫ 3,226,200,000 ($136,069) top prize!
