There has never been so much value on offer online, and with the increased demand, there has come an endless supply of massive guaranteed tournaments. Even with its live tournaments on an indefinite hiatus, World Poker Tour (WPT) has been one of the brands aggressively making an online push. Shortly after wrapping up it’s WPT Online Series on partypoker, WPT has come out with an even bigger series on the platform, a $100 Million guaranteed WPT World Online Championships.

Slated for July 17 – September 8, the buy-ins for the events start from $33 going up all the way to $102,000 and include 12 Championship events across three categories – Micro, Mini, and Main.

There is a healthy mix of all the diff variants thrown in like 8-Max, 6-Max, Mix-Max, Knockout, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, and Heads Up. Moreover, there is at least one Micro championship and Mini championship event for each respective format.

There is already confirmation on two events that will sport a whopping $10 Million prize pool guarantee! The first of the two will be Event #7: $10,300 WPT World Championship Main Event that will have two opening days and will run from August 29 till September 2. A few days later will see Event #10: $25,500 WPT World Championship High Roller roll out from September 5 – September 8.

The $102,000 buy-in Super High Roller with a $5 Million guarantee will be another headline event at the series.

The schedule released by WPT accounts for $58 Million in guarantees. The complete line-up, which will include the remaining $42 Million in guarantees, is expected to be announced at a later date.

What is confirmed is that five players will join the coveted WPT Champions Club at the series, and all five will win a $15,000 seat to the Season XVIII WPT Tournament of Champions.

In his official statement, WPT CEO Adam Pliska said, “The WPT World Online Championships brings together the World Poker Tour and partypoker together once more for what will be the largest series in both of our histories. The spectacle on display during the WPT Online Series will be heightened once more come July with another major milestone for the World Poker Tour. Five WPT Champions crowned in a single series is a first for the WPT in 18 seasons, and we look forward to welcoming them all into the WPT Champions Club.”

partypoker Managing Director Tom Waters echoed the sentiment saying, “I’m delighted that we have been able to partner with WPT to revive the WPT World Championships and bring the series online for the first time. We want to give the festival more of a live event feel, so the tournaments will be structured as such, including single re-entry for all NLHE events, freezeouts, limited late registration, and limited Day 1s. Due to popular demand, players will be able to see each other’s real names at the tables.”

partypoker has recently been hosting some of the biggest poker events in the poker history and had earlier partnered with WPT for the first-ever WPT Online Series. The site’s latest draw was the inaugural Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) Online.

Both WPT and partypoker will be streaming the entire series on Twitch.
