The action is starting to get intense at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Online Series that will be closing out its inaugural edition at partypoker today. The showstopper $3,200 Online Championship event is down to the final table, but Canada`s Dan Smith made the top headlines after winning the third and last Super High Roller on the schedule. The WPT Champion’s Club member topped 91 entries to take down Event #37 $25.K Super High Roller. Smith agreed to a heads-up chop with fellow countryman Daniel Dvoress. He, along with the title pocketed a hefty $555,503, with Dvoress snagging the silver for $456,871.
The $3,200 buy-in Online Championship, meanwhile, is just hours away from naming a champion. The four starting flights helped generate a massive, 2,130-strong field, making this the largest event in WPT Main Tour history! There is a jaw-dropping $1.048 Million that has been kept aside for the winner from the $6.39 Million prize pool. While it was Sam Greenwood who was leading the 35 survivors at the start of Day 3, the Canadian has since been pushed down to the second chip lead by Sweden’s Christian “einsenhower1” Jeppsson, who carries a staggering 17,573,926 in chips and is leading the eight-handed final table!
WPT even tweeted the update.
The #WPTOnline final table is set! Christian Jeppsson 🇸🇪 leads and Sam Greenwood 🇨🇦 is right behind him.

Jeppsson has an enviable online record. Still, other than Greenwood, he should expect a tough challenge from Pascal Hartmann (14,884,499), who is placed third in chips. Both Greenwood and Hartmann have already won High Roller titles at the series, so it would be reasonable to expect a dramatic finale today.
In our last report, we had mentioned that the $3,200 WPT Online Championship had logged in 1,590 entries in the first two starting flights combined. With 540 entries (Day 1C – 197, Day 1D – 343) coming in from the last two flights, the tourney touched a final tally of 2,130 entries – recording the largest field that a WPT Main Tour event has ever seen!
With a $6.39 million prize pool promising the final 312 finishers a payout, only 398 could make it to Day 2.
WPT even announced the same on Twitter.

If Sam Greenwood was in pole position at the start of Day 3 that saw 35 returning to the felts, it was Sweden’s Christian Jeppsson snatching the lead and closing out the day as the overnight chip leader. Jeppsson carries a massive stack of 17,573,926 to the final table, with Greenwood (16,087,766) and Pascal Hartmann (14,884,499) in hot pursuit.
The final table is to take place today, and while each of the eight players is assured of winning $66,775, they will be eyeing the $1.048 Million up top!
Final Table Chip Counts
The third and last $25,500 buy-in Super High Roller pulled in a total of 91 players at the series, generating a prize pool worth $2.275 Million.
With half-a-million dollars on the line for the winner, Dan Smith reached a heads-up deal with the eventual runner-up Daniel Dvoress to claim the title. While Smith banked $555,503, Dvoress took home $456,871 for finishing second.
