The World Poker Tour (WPT) Spring Festival Main Event is now hours away from playing down to a winner. The showstopper event of the series got underway on February 11 on Asian operator Poker King. Sporting an entry buy-in of ¥2,000 (~$300), the Main Event guaranteed a whopping ¥10 Million (~US$1.5 Million) to players. It ended up registering 3,505 entries from three starting flights, overlaying a glaring ¥3 Million.

The top 550 places were paid, and 43 survivors came back to play Day 3 on Sunday. It took just eight levels to form the final table.

The jaw-dropping value aside, the Main Event was a star-studded affair with as many as 16 celebrity players sporting bounties on their heads. Only six bounties were still in play on Day 2, and none of them made it to Day 3 on Sunday.

All the eight finalists are unknown Asian players. “Mysterious11” chip leads the field with a staggering 33.1 Million in chips, with “Sojo (24,70,00,000) and “DannyAce66” (23,70,00,000) sporting the second and third most-massive stacks. “Tianxingjian” (19,50,00,000), “YeyeDowneyJrYKY” (13,50,00,000), “Yuyouqianshuijian” (11,09,00,000), “Yuchuan” (7,20,00,000) and “Nengfeifei” (6,40,00,000) are the other players who will be coming back today.

Each of the finalists has already locked in a ¥120,000 (~$18,535) payout. However, one of them will be walking away with the WPT trophy and the winner’s cheque of ¥1,750,000 (~$270,305).

The final table starts at 8 PM CST, and it’s going to be an absolute blast railing the action with WPT running a live-stream (on a 30-minute delay) for the event in four languages, Hindi, English, Vietnamese and Chinese. Taking the delay into account, the Indian audience can follow the live-stream from 6 PM onwards today. PokerGuru will be exclusively live-streaming the action in India, with former WSOP champion Nipun Java and Mohsin Charania calling the action in Hindi. You can watch the live-stream on our Facebook page.
