The ongoing WSOP.com Online Finale Circuit series on WSOP.com, open to players located in Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware, is now past the halfway mark. The series has awarded six gold rings already with Alan ‘mossadshark’ Sternberg and David ‘TheClubber’ Larson becoming the latest recipients of the coveted piece of jewelry!
34-year old Alan Sternberg is a New York native and a seasoned hand at the WSOP. He already had two online WSOPC gold rings to his name and won his first bracelet last year in the $3,000 PLO Six-Handed event. Storming past a field of 663 entries, Sternberg took down Event #5: $200,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit Monster Stack 3x Re-entry for $81,217.
Not long after that, Event #6: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit Freezeout saw David ‘TheClubber’ Larson plowing his way through a 419-entry field to win $30,796.
Both Sternberg and Larson also won a seat each into the online Global Casino Championship (GCC).
Next up is Event #7: $150,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit High Roller 6-Max 2x Re-entry starting at 4 PM PST today.
The fifth WSOP Circuit ring tournament on the schedule attracted 663 entries that included 491 registered players and 172 rebuys. Topping the field was seasoned site reg, Alan ‘mossadshark’ Sternberg.
Sternberg raced past skilled opponents on the FT like Gordon ‘veilleux’ Vayo and Jimy ‘BOCARATONE’ Collopy to eventually defeat ‘mizer3’ in the heads-up match.
Ankush ‘rickrosstheb’ Mandavia (10th for $3,646), Jonathan ‘jetsfan14’ Borenstein (17th for $2,652), Brock ‘ohmyguan’ Wilson (19th for $2,652), Daniel ‘centrfieldr’ Lupo (23rd for $1,657), and Brian ‘bexel’ Sherrier (59th for $1,093) were some prominent players who finished ITM.

As many as 419 players signed up to play the $320 buy-in Event #6: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit Freezeout, generating a $125,700 prize pool. While the top 75 finishers were guaranteed at least $402, it was David ‘TheClubber’ Larson who grabbed the top spot after racing past a tough final table that featured heavyweights like Mike ‘THICC’ Del Vecchio and Justin ‘tamaratibles’ Young.
The list of notables who earned payouts in the tourney included Shawn ‘SayGoodNight’ Daniels (10th for $1,382), Josh ‘YoelRomero’ King (11th for $1,382), Alexander ‘JinYang’ Butcher (17th for $1,005), Andrew ‘randylerch’ Kelsall (32nd for $465), and Katie ‘katelin’ Lindsay (42nd for $427).
