WSOP.com Online Finale Circuit: Frank “spaghettiii” Marasco Wins Main Event For $127,535, ‘macallan25’ & Michael Marder Bag Titles

The World Series of Poker (WSOP).com Online Finale Circuit Series that was open only for players in Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware is finally in the history books. The 12-ring event series handed out its last three WSOP Circuit gold rings over the weekend, and grabbing most of the limelight was Event #12: $300,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Main Event 3x Re-entry.

The tournament brought in a vast field of 1,109 entries, almost doubling the promised guarantee to generate a $554,500 prize pool. New Jersey-based Frankspaghettiii

Marasco won all the glory and the bragging rights of taking down the biggest draw of the series after defeating Thomas ‘OtB_RedBaron’ Lim heads-up! Marasco had won his first WSOP Circuit ring last year in the $400 NLHE at WSOPC Harrah’s Atlantic City for $10,021. He earned a more substantial $127,535 this time, along with his second WSOP Circuit ring!

Featuring among the last of the ring winners at the series was Michael Marder, who came out on top of a field of 706 entries to win Event #10: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Monster Stack for a $50,832 payday. Like Marasco, this was Marder’s second WSOP Circuit ring victory.

Rounding out the trio of the weekend winners was ‘macallan25’ who outran a field of 695 players to capture his first gold ring and $51,082 in Event #11: $150,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Double Stack.

This officially closes out a busy 2019-20 WSOP Circuit season; all 12 ring winners at the series have also won a seat into the Global Casino Championship that will be held online. The 13th seat into the GCC awarded at the series will be bagged by the Leaderboard topper who will be adjudged the Casino Champ of the series.

 

Event #12: $300,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Main Event 3x Re-entry

The most-awaited tournament of the series, Event #12: $300,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Main Event 3x Re-entry, featured a $525 buy-in. The tournament collected a $554,500 prize pool, nearly double its posted guarantee, with 1,109 players including 718 unique and 391 rebuys joining the action in a bid to win the WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Frank ‘spaghettiii’ Marasco went on a trailblazer and captured the top spot for a $127,535 first-place cash prize along with his career`s second WSOP Circuit ring.

Richard ‘rprmoo’ Ryder (12th for $5,545), Jonathan ‘jetsfan14’ Borenstein (24th for $2,218), William ‘swaggyb’ Corvino (38th for $1,330), and Justin ‘LappyPoker’ Lapka (97th for $1,053) posted deep runs.

With a buy-in of $320, Event #11: $150,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Double Stack 2x Re-entry, attracted 695 players (449 unique and 246 re-entries). A total of 75 players took a stab at the $208,500 prize pool.

Walking away with the most significant piece of the prize pool was ‘macallan25′ who defeated Robert ‘bobeads’ Mather heads-up to win $51,082.

Shaun ‘nyjets23’ O’Donnell (16th for $1,668), Andrew ‘randylerch’ Kelsall (28th for $834), Timothy ‘valuebet’ Rhoda (49th for $708), and Kevin ‘TheRealKG’ Gerhart (73rd for $667) finished ITM.

Event #10: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Monster Stack 3x Re-entry

Powering his way through a packed field of 706 entries in Event #10: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH Monster Stack 3x Re-entry was Michael ‘ParxBigStax’ Marder who captured the title for $50,832. The $320 buy-in tournament generated a $211,800 prize pool, with the final 100 players assured a min-cash of $444.

Marder entered the heads-up with Shannon ‘aulophobia’ Shorr, who had to concede to a runner-up payday.

Other prominents on the final table included Jesse ‘mrjessejames’ Sylvia and Jared ‘Jaragorn’ Griener.

Daniel ‘yazi41’ Caiazzo (12th for $2,329), Daniel ‘centrfieldr’ Lupo (25th for $1,059), Ankush ‘rickrosstheb’ Mandavia (36th for $635), and Aram “X69Podheiser” Zobian (39th for $635) were others who posted a deep run in the tourney.
