WSOP Online 2020: Adnan Hacialioglu Champions Event #78: $1K Turbo For $259,842

There is less than a week left for the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online series to close out its inaugural run. One of the two bracelets to be awarded at the series last night was in Event #78: $1,000 Turbo No Limit Hold ’em 8-Handed. A total of 1,910 players signed up to play, having bought in for $1,000, and the top 278 players took a bite of the $1.81 Million prize pool.

The Turbo event took only seven hours to find a champion. Coming out on top of this sprint was Adnan “Bolazar” Hacialioglu, who won his first-ever bracelet, $259,841, and a WSOP Europe package. The champion had entered the eight-handed final table with the second shortest stack. Still, Hacialioglu maneuvered his stack skillfully to eventually defeat Robin “Kabuzzi” Berggren (runner-up for $197,274) heads-up for the bracelet!

Two Indian players, “darkroast” (78th for $3,301.11) and “RockstarR” (98th for $2,950.73) posted ITM finishes.

Final Table Recap

The eight-handed final table saw Tuen “FudGuy” Bui and Soo Jo “choleeek89” Kim falling out first.

Within just 10 minutes, Andriy “smbcall911” Lyubovetskiy departed in sixth place, and Jargo “bungakat” Alavali quickly followed him out in fifth place.

The start of the FT chip leader Niko “niNohR” Koop hit the rail next when his couldn’t hold against the of Adnan “Bolazar” Hacialioglu that turned two pair on the runout .

Three-handed play lasted for less than five minutes as Tim “TMay420” West’s lost his tournament life to a flip against Hacialioglu’s pocket fours.

The heads-up play had Hacialioglu starting out with a 3:1 chip lead over Robin “Kabuzzi” Berggren, and things came to a decisive end in just a few hands. The final hand saw Berggren’s pocket sevens colliding with Hacialioglu’s . A queen on the flop got Hacialioglu the bracelet.
