There was a weekend rush on GGPoker and Natural8, the host sites for the ongoing 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online series. Event #69: $1,500 Marathon was one of the many bracelet events running and it received participation from 1,438 runners, generating a juicy $2,049,150 prize pool. It took over 13 hours from start to finish to find a champion, and Nick “rdcrsn” Maimone (cover image) came out on top to win the title. The victory brought Maimone his career-first WSOP bracelet, a $302,472 payday, and a WSOP Europe package worth $15,000.
Maimone, who boasts over $2.1 Million in live earnings, crossed the $1 Million-mark in WSOP cashes after this win.
Team India came out in full force yet again, registering at least nine ITM finishes. “Arsh Grover” (52nd for $5,118), “Inonhmeansfu” (53rd for $5,118), “Upswinger” (59th for $5,118), “Ghayal” (63rd for $5,118), “bhishm” (114th for $3,776), “ThePunisherr” (129th for $3,776), “OBellaCiao” (136th for $3,776), “minfold” (142nd for $3,776), and “ICMplay” (157th for $3,243) were the confirmed Indian ITM finishers.
Among the notables who earned a payout but fell short of the FT were Tim “Loazi” Reilly (13th for $17,555), Joao “Phu Del” Valli (14th for $12,740), Christine “Yunaa” Do (16th for $12,740), Luigi “shadinho94” Shehadeh (17th for $12,740), Arthur “meiiYunqi” Conan (18th for $9,245), Galen Hall (21st for $9,245), Soo Jo “choleeek89” Kim (24th for $9,245), Lucio “WizardOfAz” Lima (28th for $6,709), Indo-American Paresh “StopLossing” Doshi (29th for $6,709), and Rafael “TheBigKid” Moraes (32nd for $6,709).

Bert “ILOVECATS” Stevens fell out first on the FT when he ran his into Nikolay “PROMsGT” Motsenko`s pocket aces. With no help for Stevens on the board, he was relegated to the rail in ninth place.
After more than 20 minutes, Erik “FortySixand2” Lemarquand exited in eighth-place, and Murilo “RaiseBluff” Nascimento followed him out seventh.
After a few hands, Ermo “PublicEnemy7” Kosk got short and ultimately exited in sixth-place with his failing to catch up to Maimone’s pocket kings.
Sebastian “Mustlaaaveit” Sikorski and Nikolay “PROMsGT” Motsenko were the next to depart in fifth and fourth place, respectively.
The three-handed play saw Giovani “Mandjocka” Torre’s losing out to Maimone’s on the runout .
The heads-up had both Maimone (18.33 Million) and Diego “JaxTeller” Bittar (17.55 Million) starting out on an even footing, and it almost half an hour to play down to a winner.
On the final hand of the tournament, Bittar limped in with , and Maimone ripped it in with . Bittar quickly called and was ahead before the board ran out declaring Maimone the champion!
