The gigantic field of 12,757 entries in Event #41: COLOSSUS of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online had whittled down to nine players when Day 2 concluded last Sunday. Coming back after an almost weeklong break, all nine players had locked up $40,529, but all eyes were on the bracelet and the $595,930 that was set-aside for the winner. It took under 90 minutes of final table player to crown a champion, and claiming the bragging rights was Estonia’s Ranno Sootla (cover image).

Sootla had only two prior WSOP cashes to his name before this win. He won his career-first bracelet and entered the history books by becoming the first player from Estonia to do so.
