Day 2 of Event #13: $5,000 PLO Championship at the GGPoker/Natural8-hosted 2021 WSOP Online played down to a winner on Wednesday. Seven finalists from an entry field of 267 runners came back eyeing the bracelet. It took under two hours for Lithuania’s Vincas Tamasauskas (cover image) to come out on top to win his first career bracelet for $268,926 after besting Ben Lakatos in the heads-up play.

Tamasauskas had entered the final table second in chips and clinched victory despite a roller-coaster final table ride. With the win, Tamasauskas has become the third player from Lithuania to bag the gold bracelet, after Vladas Burneikis and Gediminas Uselis.

GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu added another deep run to his WSOP scorecard, placing 19th for $13,484. Fellow Team Pro and the GGPoker OmahaSquad member Fernando “JNandez87” Habegger came strikingly close to taking down the title and finished third for $140,583.

Bracelet winners Simon Loftberg (10th for $18,144), Nick Maimone (11th for $18,144), partypoker Ambassador Joao Simao (12th for $15,642), defending champion Juha Helppi (17th for $13,484), Paul Teoh (28th for $10,021) and Hun Wei Lee (37th for $8,639) were among the 39 players who crossed the money line.

Final Table Recap

The final table saw a series of upheavals and downswings relatively early in the day.

The start-of-day chip leader Hernando Guzman lost most of his stack quickly and ended up falling in seventh place, with Ben Wilinofsky delivering the fatal blow.

Florian Fuchs and David Wang fell out in places sixth and fifth, respectively.

Ben Wilinofsky couldn`t get much going as he found himself at the receiving end of several setbacks and hit the rail in fourth place.

The three-handed play was predominated by a constant tussle between Tamasauskas and Ben Lakatos. Tamasauskas ended up busting Fernando Habegger in third place, setting up the final showdown against Lakatos.

The heads-up didn’t last long, and Tamasauskas quickly clinched the title after making a rivered boat against Ben Lakatos’ turned wheel.
