Event #5: 315 Bounty Deepstack of the ongoing 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online on GGPoker/Natural8 witnessed a starting field of 2,989 players. Only 45 of them made Day 2 and riding past a number of strong contenders was Kacper Pyzara (cover image) who took it down for his career-first bracelet and $79,789 (includes $43,504 in bounties).

Pyzara was eighth in stacks at the start of the final table, but charted a phenomenal ride up, eventually defeating start-of-FT chip leader and the obvious favourite Russia’s Evgeny “pro_nl” Kochubey in the heads-up battle. This also brings Poland’s title tally in the current stop to two, after Bartlomiej Swieboda who shipped Event #1: $50 The Return NLH last week.

At least two Indians, Neel ‘Neel’ Joshi and “Upswinger” were confirmed to have entered the event. Though Joshi was eliminated on Day 2, “Upswinger” progressed to Day 2 where they ran deep, to post a 16th-place score. The seasoned MTT pro clashed with “tanyaodora3” in his final hand and was ahead of the latter with cowboys versus pocket deuces. However a deuce on the flop turned the tide in “tanyaodora3”s favor who hit a set, eliminating “Upswingër” who pocketed a payday of $2,273 (~₹1.69 Lakhs).

Final Table Recap

The final table saw rapid bustouts of Vicente Delgado, Arkadiy “Kamsky” Tsinis, and Martina “Dopierdole” Ciklaminiova within the first 30 minutes of action.

Takahiko “tanyaodora3” Nishiyama was then eliminated by Pyzara in sixth place with a flopped one-pair versus his ten-right.

The next two knockouts of Takao “shimizu9” Shimizu and Baoyang “baoyang666” Xu were claimed by eventual runner-up Evgeny “pro_nl” Kochubey.

Action then slowed down, as a short-stacked Moti “rtm6789” Ohayon persistently held on before losing his stack to Pyzara to take home a third-place payout.

Evgeny “pro_nl” Kochubey entered the heads-up as the chip leader but Pyzara soon scooped a big double-up with a pair of eights against Kochubey’s jack-seven that missed a straight draw. The to-and-fro continued for a while before Pyzara closed di tot with pocket sixes winning over Kochubey’s ace-queen.
