Daily Majors: M Jimmy, Siddharth Karia, and Arbaaz Ahmed Among Monday’s Top Performers

As the clock ticked toward the final hours of the year, online poker platforms became the stage for one last round of intense action. Players across the country logged in for their shot at a closing triumph, chasing leaderboard glory and year-end bankroll boosts. PokerBaazi led the charge with a stacked lineup of tournaments, Natural8 India boasted some of the biggest winners of the day, and Adda52’s ₹2.50 Crores GTD Christmas & New Year Carnival kept the festive energy alive. Not to be left behind, Junglee Poker and Pocket52 brought their own flair, ensuring the year ended with no shortage of high-stakes drama.

In the heart of this electrifying frenzy, M Jimmy made a triumphant return on Natural8 India. Having captured attention earlier in July with a podium finish in the Sunday Crazy Eights Asia 8.88, Jimmy had been off the radar for five months. But his return was nothing short of spectacular. Facing a daunting field of 1,759 players in the GGMasters Asia 25, he maneuvered his way to the top, walking away with ₹5.13 Lakhs—his biggest win yet on the platform. This victory not only closed his year on a personal high but also pushed his total winnings on Natural8 past ₹14 Lakhs, making him the day’s standout performer.

Natural8 also saw platform newcomer ‘milky_way99’ making waves. After an impressive debut earlier this month, they once again proved their mettle. Taking on the massive 9,299-strong field in the Omaholic Mystery Ball 108, they secured a 31st-place finish, earning ₹5 Lakhs—another personal best. Their consistent run has already started turning heads in the community.

Meanwhile, PokerBaazi’s tournament tables saw their share of fireworks. The mysterious ‘J500PC,’ fresh off a Sunday win in the BSS, delivered yet another spectacular run. They claimed the top spot in The Big Show, clinching ₹4.10 Lakhs from a three-way deal. It was a career-defining moment for them, smashing their previous best score on the platform by nearly seven times. Joining the ranks of big winners was Arbaaz Ahmed, last year’s EndBoss 7.0 runner-up, who came in second. Ahmed’s payout of ₹3.48 Lakhs marked his best performance of the year and added another highlight to an already illustrious career. The podium was rounded out by another fresh face, ‘jumboSnaps97487,’ who earned ₹3.32 Lakhs—their largest payday yet on PokerBaazi.

Natural8 India witnessed an eventful day as Young Gun Siddharth Karia made a striking comeback after a four-month break. Jumping back into the action, Karia battled his way to a runner-up finish in the Daily Special 88, outlasting all but one of the 347 entries. The effort earned him ₹3.90 Lakhs, a reward that marked his re-entry into the online grind with style. Anant Purohit, currently ranked #2 in the Player of the Year race, demonstrated why he’s among the elites. Taking on a massive field of 9,299 entries in the Omaholic Mystery Ball 108, Purohit held his nerve to carve out a ₹2.04 Lakhs payday. The deep run added another impressive chapter to his ongoing poker journey.

Pocket52 had its share of drama as well, with mid-stakes regular Mayank Maruka stealing the show. Known for his five previous Daily Last Chance wins, Maruka made his mark in the Pocket Jacks. This latest victory added ₹1.37 Lakhs to his bankroll, making it his biggest score on the platform and his first title on Pocket52 this year. Maruka also racked up three more deep runs, pushing his day’s tally to over ₹1.53 Lakhs. Online grinder ‘Hayabusaa’ came close but had to settle for second place, earning ₹95,865.

Emerging triumphant from the intense competition was ‘Ikka5’ (anonymity requested), a dedicated player since 2017. Despite consistent performances, including a notable seventh-place finish in the WPT#87 Championship just last week, the top spot had remained elusive – until last night. Demonstrating focused determination and a calculated approach, they secured their first Daily Last Chance title and their third victory of the year.

As the 10:30 PM tournament commenced, ‘Ikka5’s’ concentration was palpable. Over six hours and 18 minutes, they navigated a substantial field of 453 entries (277 unique), ultimately surpassing the tournament’s guarantee. October is off to an absolutely insane start on PokerBaazi, and the Indian poker community is going bonkers with excitement. With the ₹25 Crores GTD G.O.A.T. (India’s biggest-ever poker tournament) in full swing and last night’s ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Pride delivering some serious fireworks, it’s clear that this month is going to be one for the record books!

One player who’s been absolutely crushing it lately is Akash ‘UtgWithUrMOM’ Malik. This charismatic high-stakes cash game veteran has recently turned his attention to MTTs, and he’s making a serious splash. He’s currently battling it out in Taipei at the APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024, where he just finished second in Event #51: TWD 30,000 Hyper Turbo – High Roller. He was this close to ending his nine-year title drought, but it wasn’t in the cards this time.

But Malik isn’t letting that near miss get him down. He’s back to the online grind and on fire! After finishing second in last week’s The Pride Lite, he returned with a vengeance to take down the ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Pride last night. This is his first online win in almost four months, and it’s a sweet victory after a string of near misses. Since his Daily Last Chance win in June, Malik has made six final tables, proving that he’s been a consistent threat in the online MTT scene.

Last night’s The Pride was an absolute barn burner. Malik battled through a daunting field of 653 entrants (354 unique) in the 8 PM showstopper, firing two bullets and grinding for over eight hours. But his hard work and determination paid off, and he walked away with a whopping ₹5.33 Lakhs – the third-largest online cash of his career and his best score of the year! This is his second PokerBaazi flagship title of the year, showing that he’s a force to be reckoned with both live and online.

Malik also made a final table appearance in PokerBaazi’s Daily Last Chance, bringing his total winnings for the night to an incredible ₹5.93 Lakhs. He’s a proud member of the ‘₹2 Crore Club’ in online earnings and the top scorer for Wednesday!

Amit ‘ragingbull’ Kaushik is a force of nature! This poker maestro from Kurukshetra made a big splash at the WPT Cambodia Championship final table at the start of the year and has been tearing up the online scene ever since! He’s been especially crushing it on Adda52 lately, with recent wins in the Voyager and Adda52 Millions last month. And he just added another victory to his impressive resume by taking down the Maverick on Wednesday night!

Amit Kaushik
Amit Kaushik

Kaushik’s latest victory went down in the 8 PM Wednesday headliner on Adda52. He battled for over eight hours against a challenging field of 389 players (209 unique), and when the chips settled, he was the last man standing! This incredible win earned him a cool ₹2.28 Lakhs and his first Maverick title. It’s also his fourth-best score on Adda52 this year, which is saying something considering how much this guy has been winning!

Amit Kaushik’s online stats (excluding Natural8 India, Junglee Poker and Pocket52): Lifetime Winnings: ₹8.29 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹2.85 Crores | Titles Won in 2024: #13 | Annual Winnings: ₹1.49 Crores | Annual Profits: ₹45.86 Lakhs

Former IOPC The Crown champion Vaibhav ‘vane_shado’ Temani was also in the mix, hoping to add a Maverick title to his trophy case. He came close but had to settle for second place and a ₹1.67 Lakhs payday. It seems like Temani is having a bit of a tough time closing out tournaments lately, as he also just missed out on winning Pocket52’s Pocket Kings last week.

Vaibhav Temani

Vaibhav Temani’s online stats (excluding Natural8 India, Junglee Poker and Pocket52): Lifetime Winnings: ₹7.36 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹1.22 Crores | Titles Won in 2024: #3 | Annual Winnings: ₹1.07 Crores

Maverick’s final table was a battlefield stacked with big names. Yash ‘Babyshark21’ Chitre (5th for ₹81,225), last night’s Daily Last Chance finalist Rising Star Aman ‘karmapoker’ Parakh (4th for ₹89,944), poker veteran Sahil ‘imhighishove’ Mahboobani (5th for ₹65,928), recent BSS SuperStack champion Nitin ‘JeeneNhiDunga’ Rawat (6th for ₹48,325), the in-form Arjanveer ‘arjan30’ Chadha (7th for ₹35,422) and Shiven ‘sammy19’ Meena (8th for ₹25,964) were all battling for the title.

Even though the ₹3,350 buy-in Maverick recorded a slight ₹1.22 Lakhs in overlays, it was still an action-packed tournament. The top 62 players carved up the ₹12.50 Lakhs prize pool, with a min-cash worth ₹6,740. This just shows that the late-night action on Adda52 is always worth staying up for!

October is off to an insane start on Pocket52! The ₹5 Crore GTD October Tournament Series is in full swing, and the 500X Big Win Mania is just around the corner (October 4 to 13). The action is already red hot, and leading the charge on Wednesday was the legendary Mohak ‘Tiltin’ Kapoor!

Mohak Kapoor
Mohak Kapoor

Kapoor is an absolute beast in the Indian online poker scene. He’s already a member of the elite ‘₹10 Crore Club’ in online winnings, and he’s not even close to being done. After a historic win with the Deccan Aces in the Pocket52 PSL Season 6 (they were the first team ever to win the PSL championship twice!), Kapoor is having a year for the ages. He’s currently ranked #9 in the insanely competitive Player of the Year race and sitting pretty at the top of the TLB leaderboard. And now, to top it all off, he just won his mind-blowing 52nd title (at least) of 2024 (51 titles officially tracked) by crushing Pocket52’s ₹8 Lakhs GTD Pocket Rockets!

Kapoor came into last night’s Pocket Rockets with his game face on. He’s been on a heater lately, winning at least five titles and making a ton of final tables in September alone. He faced a challenging field of 303 players (153 unique) in the 8 PM mid-week showdown, but he wasn’t fazed. After firing four bullets, his relentless aggression and incredible skill earned him the victory and a ₹1.36 Lakhs payday. This win comes on the heels of his impressive third-place finish in Monday’s Pocket Jacks, proving that he’s at the top of his game on Pocket52.

But Kapoor`s mid-week grind didn’t just stop with the title. This guy is a true grinder, and he went on to make deep runs in seven other tournaments last night, including podium finishes in PokerBaazi’s Daily Last Chance, Daily Boost, and Adda52’s Nighttide DST Adda. By the end of the night, he had raked in a grand ₹3.01 Lakhs in total winnings!

Kapoor’s top Wednesday finishes include:

> 1st in Pocket52’s Pocket Rockets for ₹1,36,442

> 3rd in PokerBaazi’s Daily Last Chance for ₹93,389

> 2nd in Adda52’s Nighttide DST Adda for ₹24,304

> 2nd in PokerBaazi’s Daily BOOST for ₹19,170

Mohak Kapoor’s online stats (excluding Natural8 India, Junglee Poker and Pocket52): Lifetime Winnings: ₹10.23 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹1.82 Crores | Titles Won in 2024: #51 | Annual Winnings: ₹2.53 Crores | Annual Profits: ₹59.15 Lakhs | Ranked #9 in the 2024 Leaderboard Standings (Total Cashes) | Ranked #1 in the 2024 TLB (Points) Leaderboard Standings | Finished #1 in the 2023 TLB (Points) Leaderboard Standings

While Kapoor was busy dominating the Pocket Rockets, another online grinder, Kritarth ‘Pahaadi’ Pant, was making some noise of his own. Pant, who recently finished second in PokerBaazi’s (6-Max) BSS SPRINT, put on a show in the Pocket Rockets, finishing as the runner-up and taking home ₹95,834. Pant also made a deep run in PokerBaazi’s The Pride, finishing 13th for an extra ₹52,240. All in all, he banked ₹1.48 Lakhs for the day – not a bad way to spend a Wednesday!

Kritarth Pant
Kritarth Pant

Kritarth Pant’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52 and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹1.90 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹45.56 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2024: #4 | Annual Winnings: ₹84.27 Lakhs | Annual Profits: ₹23.50 Lakhs

The Pocket Rockets’ final table was packed with some serious talent. Last week’s Head Shot NL Bounty champion Ashwin ‘John_wick1399’ Vijayvergiya finished third for ₹71,948, and Mayank ‘MasterDevil’ Shekhar took eighth place for ₹21,466.

Even though the ₹2,750 buy-in Pocket Rockets had a slight overlay of ₹75,830, Pocket52 ensured the top 20 finishers got their share of the guaranteed ₹8 Lakhs prize pool. Each pocketed at least ₹10,168 – that’s more than 3.5 times the initial buy-in! Despite the overlay, the tournament was a huge success, with tons of action and exciting payouts for everyone who made the money.

Final Table Results

  1. Mohak ‘Tiltin’ Kapoor – ₹1,36,442
  2. Kritarth ‘Pahaadi’ Pant – ₹95,834
  3. Ashwin ‘John_wick1399’ Vijayvergiya – ₹71,948
