We are midway through April, but the summer buzz seems to be missing from the virtual felts! This past week was especially uneventful as most of the MTT crowd was busy playing the Deltin Poker Tournament series in Goa. Sumit Lalchandani was the standout winner at the six-day series as he shipped the Main Event for a career-best ₹35.64 Lakhs. The other prominent winners included Aayush Arya, who won the Highroller for ₹36.63 Lakhs, and Avinash Koneru, who topped the Big Billions final table for ₹31.64 Lakhs.

Headlining an otherwise slow week of online MTTs was PokerBaazi’s #BB4 MoneyMaker which doled out the biggest payouts on Sunday. Sumit Advani from Dubai won the 1 flight ₹1 Crore GTD Sunday flagship to emerge as the 17th MoneyMaker champion and banked a personal-best ₹14.57 Lakhs to walk away with our “PokerGuru Star of the Week” title!

Advani chopped the MoneyMaker three-way with Aditya Kulkarni (2nd for ₹11.07 Lakhs) and Sumit Sapra (3rd for ₹11.46 Lakhs), who were the two other players to bank seven-figure scores this week.

Last week`s leaderboard topper, Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal, the #1 ranked player on the annual TLB standings, Rajneesh Thakur, PokerGuru Ambassadors Ratul Steves, Mithun Mahesh, and Ankit Wadhawan, along with Lavesh Meena, and Manish Lakhotia were the other notable scorers of the week.

With the DPT now in the books, the next live MTT series on the horizon is the IPC Megastacks that takes place at the Spartan LIVE poker room at Casino Vegas by Big Daddy in Jhapa, Nepal, from May 17 to 22. If you want to attend the series on a budget, then BLITZPOKER has just the thing for you. The site`s ‘Road to IPC Megastacks’ promises tickets worth over ₹70 Lakhs to the upcoming series through the Cash Fiesta (April 20 to May 10) and Online Satellites (April 15 to May 20).

Asia’s largest online poker room, Natural8, has flagged off another edition of its Omaholic Series! The eight-day series got underway on April 17 and is running a choc-a-bloc schedule of PLO tournaments until April 24, offering $3 Million in guaranteed prizes.

In a surprising turn of events, PokerBaazi LIVE – the live poker arm of PokerBaazi – ended its three-year-old association with Casino Majestic Pride abruptly on April 19. According to a statement by the PokerBaazi management, the decision was made due to space constraints at the venue.

In the international headlines, the ten-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey topped the Super High Roller Series Europe series leaderboard! Jake Schindler championed the Super High Roller Bowl Europe for $3.20 Million.

Meanwhile, Steve O’Dwyer won the Irish Poker Open Main Event for €318,700.
