After a fortnight of packed action, the remainder of this week will bring some much-needed downtime for the MTT regs, many of whom have taken the opportunity to fly down South to participate in the 2023 WPT Prime Cambodia.
The Tuesday action, although a significant improvement over Monday, was relatively lackluster. However, the micro-stakes players had exciting tournaments to participate in IndiaPlays’ Micro Poker League. And with PokerDangal’s Dangal Micro Value Series starting tomorrow, there will be more value for players at the micro-stakes level.
Advait Rajguru was hands down the Tuesday chartbuster with at least ₹5.35 Lakhs in total winnings from four known scores. Four days after shipping PokerStars India’s MM-28 [KO Low Roller], Rajguru made another victory run in Spartan Poker’s Tuesday High Roller (6-Max), banking ₹4.68 Lakhs – the day’s single-largest score and his fifth title this year. He also FT-ed PokerBaazi’s (7-Max) Daily Sprint (3rd for ₹45,604).
Dhruva Kalra (2nd for ₹3.16 Lakhs) and last night’s Mega Stack winner Ashutosh Balodhi (3rd for ₹2.06 Lakhs) round out the Tuesday HR podium.
After keeping his head down these last two weeks, Ashutosh Balodhi shifted gears yesterday by thrashing out podium finishes in the two primetime tournaments on Spartan Poker for a hefty ₹5.28 Lakhs. He won Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack (₹3.21 Lakhs) for the second time last night and finished third in the Tuesday High Roller (₹2.06 Lakhs).
Monday’s Night Rider winner, Arunav Mittal, placed runner-up in Mega Stack for ₹2.13 Lakhs (won ₹2.33 Lakhs overall).
PokerBaazi user ‘NAdi89Ya’ scored their first win on the site in nearly five weeks by taking down The Endeavour for a personal-best ₹4.10 Lakhs (won ₹4.21 Lakhs overall). Last month’s The Pride champion, Bharat Suda, scored ₹2.45 Lakhs in second place.

As we enter the third month of the year, the online poker action seems to be picking up pace. After three weeks of relatively slow action, the MTT mania is about to set in with two high-voltage MTT stops, the Final Table Series (March 4 to 13) and National Poker Series (March 6 to 20) just around the corner!
Coming up first will be India Poker Championship`s FTS 4.0 that hits the Spartan Poker client (and other partner sites) from March 4 to 13. Spartan Poker has rolled out FTS-centric freerolls and deposit offers in the run-up to the series. Out of the five FTS Freerolls, two are left with 15 tickets to the series-opener ₹15 Lakhs GTD FTS #1 up for grabs!
For all of you looking for affordable ways to play the upcoming National Poker Series events, PokerBaazi is hosting the “Road to NPS” Mega Satty Series until March 4.
While the National Poker Series will run a stacked 84-event schedule, the final tables of the series’ showstoppers – NPS Main Event, NPS Golden Rush, and NPS Super Highroller – will be held live onboard the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room in Goa. Fresh off winning the 2021 Adda52 Champions Leaderboard and a pro contract worth ₹20 Lakhs, the Bengaluru-based entrepreneur pulled out another stunning run on Sunday. The 38-year-old poker reg down the Adda52 Big Game for an impressive second time this week, banking a site-best ₹19.80 Lakhs. With ₹20.01 Lakhs in weekly winnings, Sriram walks away as our “PokerGuru Star of the Week!”
Shashank Jain, Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal, and Ayush Garg were the week`s other top scorers.
PLO cash game players finally have a good reason to rejoice. MPL Poker is offering an uncapped 50% rakeback across all its mid-to-high stakes PLO cash game tables of ₹50/₹100 and above. The promotion will continue until March 20.
In other promotions, Asia’s largest online poker room, Natural8, is running the $30 Million GTD Bounty Hunters Series until March 13. The poker site has also announced a massive $5 Million GTD Overlay Edition of the GGMasters for March 20.

PokerBaazi’s flagship live tournament offering, Baazi Poker Tour, is returning to the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room onboard Casino Majestic Pride. The series signals a return of live poker to the domestic map and will run five events from March 23 to 28.

PokerBaazi’s Road to NPS satellite series has been doing exceptionally well, and the increased traction is definitely helping the turnouts of the other MTTs on the site. The online reg ‘bencb789’ (anonymity requested) topped the Monday charts on PokerBaazi. The player shipped The Big Show for ₹1.88 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Bhushan Sohani (2nd for ₹1.65 Lakhs).
Aarchit Dhadwal took down Adda52`s Iron Man for ₹1.66 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Aman Chauhan (2nd for ₹1.55 Lakhs).
