Cards-up Coverage of FTS Featured FT`s on Spartan Poker
The guarantee-smashing FTS 2.0 set the virtual felt on fire this past week. Spartan Poker made the series an entertaining spectacle by bringing out quality streaming action on the final tables of the series’ featured tourneys.
The most-recent stream was from the ₹1 Crore GTD Highroller final table, where Rohit Agrawal bested MTT pro Sumit Sapra heads-up to win a whopping ₹28.49 Lakhs.
Arjun Pasricha has been in impeccable form at the FTS 2.0, with three featured event FTs. On Thursday, the defending FTS Main Event champion, Pasricha, won the ₹85 Lakhs GTD FTS#11 Big Game for ₹16.44 Lakhs.
Kumar Vatsal won the ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS#14 Monster Stack for ₹13.51 Lakhs.
Rohan Bhasin was another FTS 2.0 winner. He shipped the ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Challenger for ₹7.73 Lakhs.
Young Gun Gaurav Sood championed the series’ first featured event on Monday. He took down the ₹75 Lakhs GTD FTS #2 Kick-off for ₹14.39 Lakhs.
Aniruddha Joshi Streams For Spartan Poker
Aniruddha Joshi was seen streaming FTS 2.0 tourneys on Spartan Poker this week.
He played the ₹25 Lakhs GTD FTS#12 on live-stream on March 11.

Fedor Holz Books a Convincing Win Over Wiktor ‘Limitless’ Malinowski in Face-Off Challenge
The most-recent heads-up challenge to play out was the Fedor Holz vs. Wiktor ‘Limitless’ Malinowski Face-Off Challenge on GGPoker. The duo went at each other for four sessions this past week, with Holz winning the first three sessions before Malinowski took down the last session.
Wiktor ‘Limitless’ Malinowski won the last session for $69,893.44. Nonetheless, Holz walked away as the overall champion, coming out ahead for $90,374.98 after 1,885 hands.

Here are highlights of the penultimate session, where Ingram was joined by Daniel Negreanu. Holz came out ahead for $108,195 after 562 hands, improving his overall lead to $160,268.
Earlier in the week, GGPoker live-streamed Session #2 of the challenge, with Ingram offering perspective. He also discussed Doug Polk’s allegations that the match was staged! A total of 472 hands were played in this session, and Holz won $14,651.

The weekend ahead promises to be an electrifying one with two marquee online stops playing down to a close. While Spartan Poker’s Final Table Series (FTS) 2.0 will have plenty to offer the regs and mid-high stakes MTT players, the value-hunters will have PokerStars India’s MicroMillions to keep them busy.
The FTS 2.0 once again delivered the biggest winner on Friday, with Kumar Vatsal cashing the day`s top prize worth ₹13.51 Lakhs in the ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS#14 Monster Stack.
Pulkit Goyal, Pratibha Arya, and Shashank Shekhar made the headlines for their smashing run in the other Friday night flagships.

Spartan Poker
Spartan Poker`s FTS 2.0 has entered the home stretch now, and Friday saw the ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS#14 Monster Stack playing down to a winner. The fifth of the eight featured FT`s to be live-streamed at the series had Kumar ‘Frank Lampard’ Vatsal outlasting the competition to collect ₹13.51 Lakhs. Harshad ‘Omglukbox’ Barve placed runner-up for ₹8.51 Lakhs.
Amar ‘Laughing Buddha’ Mehta (3rd for ₹6.09 Lakhs), FTS 2.0 Big Game champion Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha (4th for ₹4.80 Lakhs), Soham ‘galafoooo’ Pal (5th for ₹3.77 Lakhs), Sanjeeta ‘Duchabdi’ Kumari (6th for ₹2.94 Lakhs), Ashish ‘notoriouskonvict1’ Nailwal (7th for ₹2.21 Lakhs) and Anurag ‘Sangahi’ Sangahi (8th for ₹1.54 Lakhs) banked the FT scores.

The first eight-figure guaranteed tourney at the FTS 2.0, the ₹1 Crore GTD FTS#17 Highroller, crushed its listed guarantee by a comfortable ₹13.25 Lakhs margin as 151 runners bought in for ₹80,000. Unlike the previous featured events, the FTS Highroller played down to a six-handed FT with Ramesh Rao ‘RESURGE’ Thotapalli (2,528,486), Rubin ‘imightwin’ Labroo (1,270,719), and Rohit ‘ToTheStreets’ Agarwal (1,222,032) bagging the top three stacks of the day. Young Gun Anujkumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam (1,099,590), Sumit ‘AAdicted’ Sapra (942,298) and Anant ‘Prometheius’ Purohit (486,875) also made it to the final table.
The six finalists return at 6 PM to fight it out for the jaw-dropping ₹28.49 Lakhs up-top and the 18K Champions Medallion. You can watch the FT live-stream (with a short delay) on the PokerGuru Facebook page.
The other FTS marquee, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD FTS#18, registered a guarantee-crushing 544 entries, each of them signing up for ₹5,500, and the top 63 places got paid. Topping them all was the FTS Big Game fourth-place finisher, Pulkit ‘Championplayer’ Goyal, who, making his second FT at the ongoing series, won the Champions Medallion and a ₹4.47 Lakhs cash prize. He struck a heads-up deal with Abhimanyu ‘IshqBector’ Mittal, who netted ₹4.19 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.
The other FTS tourney of the day, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD FTS #16, pulled in 529 entries, collecting a guarantee-crushing ₹10.58 Lakhs prize pool. It took seven hours for the field to whittle down to a winner, where ‘HerMess’ came out on top to win ₹1.79 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Mahesh ‘The Mask’ Vishwanath Randive (runner-up for ₹1.57 Lakhs).
After the Friday events, Ankit Omprakash ‘ON_MY_MAC’ Bajaj has reclaimed the #1 position on the FTS leaderboard with 2,868 points. Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha`s (2,741 points) FTS Monster Stack FT finish has propelled him to the #2 position. Chirag ‘chgilling’ Sodha (2,609 points) rounds out the top three positions on the ₹30 Lakhs-added leaderboard.

PokerStars India`s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Uppercut recorded 209 participants who ponied up ₹4,400 to enter, and the site filled in ₹1.64 Lakhs in overlays. Shashank ‘Goldfish097’ Shekhar raced past the competition to win ₹2.22 Lakhs (₹95,329 in prize money, ₹1,26,578 in bounties) with Ranjeet ‘Bedevilforyou’ Negi (runner-up for ₹1.24 Lakhs) placing runner-up.
The site ran six MicroMillions events on Friday. Offering the most-massive prize pool guarantee among them was the ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Micro Millions – 35 [NLHE] that logged in 123 entries, overlaying ₹65,500. The anonymous player ‘Ashwinip4873’ shipped the tourney for ₹54,621, with ‘raghav1990’ (runner-up for ₹40,506) placing second.
The 10:30 PM Bigstack Turbo wrangled in 89 entries last night – falling 11 entries short of its 100-player guarantee. It took a quick three-hour sprint for the former UVS Millionaire LITE champion Manash ‘ButtonRaiseSS’ Kalita to take down the tourney for ₹22,343. Before winning the tourney, he cut a heads-up deal with Tanmaya ‘RTDi27’ Gupta (runner-up for ₹17,272).

Naman ‘KidPoker09’ Puri has been a consistent winner on PokerBaazi off-late, and he went on a tear last night, winning both the late-night marquees on the site. He took down the 9 PM special ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD 6-Max Holdem Boost for ₹43,025 after eliminating ‘yash2702’ (runner-up for ₹30,154) in heads-up play. He also won the midnight tourney, the Turbo ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹45,000!

The high-stakes cash game reg Pratibha ‘TeamRocket’ Arya claimed the title for ₹5.89 Lakhs after pipping Young Gun Devang ‘spark123’ Yadav (runner-up for ₹3.56 Lakhs) in the heads-up battle.
The site`s ₹6 Lakhs GTD Running Hot experienced an overlay of ₹84,000 on the back of 258 entries. The mystery user ‘MallaNi’ came out on top to win ₹1.34 Lakhs, with PokerGuru Ambassador Rony ‘fish4life’ Chowdhury placing runner-up for ₹79,980.

The biggest buy-in tourney at Spartan Poker`s FTS 2.0, the ₹1 Crore GTD FTS#17 Highroller, played down to its six-handed final table last night. The tourney amassed 151 entries, generating a whopping ₹1.13 Crores prize pool.
The two-time Millionaire champion, Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia, was the last player on fall on Friday. He departed in seventh place for ₹5.03 Lakhs, setting up the six-handed final table.
The live-streamed FT will see Ramesh Rao ‘RESURGE’ Thotapalli coming in with the chip lead, holding a stack of 2,528,486. Rubin ‘imightwin’ Labroo (1,270,719) and Rohit ‘ToTheStreets’ Agarwal (1,222,032) are a very distant second and third in chips.

The Thursday headliner ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS#14 Monster Stack played down to its final table the day before yesterday. The eight finalists returned to the virtual felts at 6 PM last evening. Play continued for an hour and a half before Kumar ‘Frank Lampard’ Vatsal staked his claim on the FTS Champions Medallion.
Vatsal bested former SSS Destiny winner Harshad ‘Omglukbox’ Barve (runner-up for ₹6.09 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹13.51 Lakhs.

Sitting on over ₹2 Crores in recorded winnings on the site, Pasricha was the biggest winner on Thursday as he pierced his way through the live-streamed ₹85 Lakhs GTD FTS#11 Big Game FT to win ₹16.44 Lakhs. Believe it or not, he made the FT in the ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS #14 – Monster Stack as well, his third featured FT at FTS 2.0! The FTS Kick-Off runner-up Kushagra ‘Nkush’ Mehta missed out on the FTS Champions Medallion yet again, placing second for ₹10.37 Lakhs.
Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi, Suresh Kolli, Alok Birewar, and Banmanlang Lyndem were the other standout Thursday scorers. Most of them posted multiple FT scores last night.

Spartan Poker’s ongoing FTS 2.0 had three tournaments lined up, with the final table of Wednesday’s ₹85 Lakhs GTD FTS#11 Big Game unleashing added excitement.
The Big Game was the fourth featured event of the series to be live-streamed.
The ₹16,500 entry buy-in event logged in 543 entries, and the final eight reconvened at 6 PM yesterday. Storming past a stacked FT after two hours of play was the inaugural FTS Main Event champion Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha. Pasricha had entered the final table with the second-biggest stack. He clashed over the title with the ₹75 Lakhs GTD FTS Kick-Off runner-up Kushagra ‘Nkush’ Mehta (runner-up for ₹10.37 Lakhs), defeating the latter to claim his second FTS title and a hefty ₹16.44 Lakhs.
The win is another feather in the cap for Pasricha, who happens to be a former Millionaire United champion and also finished runner-up in the IOPC Highroller and GPS Millionaire last year. Like Mehta, Pasricha had made his first featured FT appearance in the FTS #2 Kick-Off, where he placed sixth for ₹3.10 Lakhs. There is no stopping the Delhi-based player, who also booked his seat on the ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS #14 – Monster Stack FT last night, his third featured tourney FT at the series.

Soham ‘galafoooo’ Pal has a shot at winning the 18K FTS Champions Medallion as he is among the eight finalists in the ₹70 Lakhs GTD FTS #14 – Monster Stack.

Chennai-born Parthasarathi won the Godfather twice last year, once in May and then again in October. While he booked his first Godfather title of 2021 last night, Parthsarathi also finished sixth in the ₹25 Lakhs GTD FTS #15 for ₹1.21 Lakhs. With ₹6.57 Lakhs in total winnings, he sits on over ₹3.11 Crores in online earnings.

It was a value-driven Wednesday for poker players, with several of the day’s marquees filling in significant overlays.
The star of the day was Rohan Bhasin, who topped Spartan Poker’s ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Challenger live-streamed FT to win ₹7.79 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Staking had a field day with numerous top finishes. PokerGuru Ambassadors Naresh Veeravalli & Ashish Ahuja clinched flagship titles with teammates Ankit Wadhawan & Shashank Desai, posting runner-up finishes. Making his second featured event FT at the ongoing FTS, PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul Raj placed fifth in the FTS#8 Challenger last night.
Siddhanth Kripalani, Aditya Kulkarni, and Varun Devayya championed the other Wednesday marquees.

Day 4 of the FTS 2.0 series had three tournaments lined up, and just as they went underway, Tuesday’s featured tourney, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Challenger final table kicked off. Starting at 6 PM, it took about two hours to play down to a winner, with Rohan ‘The Sightseer’ Bhasin eventually coming out on top to collect the ₹7.73 Lakhs winner’s paycheque.
Palash ‘palash777’ Nandwani (runner-up for ₹4.85 Lakhs), Yasheel ‘YagammiLight7’ Doddanavar (3rd for ₹3.47 Lakhs), Tarun ‘MrSweets06’ Guwalani (4th for ₹2.70 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ (5th for ₹2.12 Lakhs), Sooraj ‘soorajtodi’ Todi (6th for ₹1.66 Lakhs), Peter ‘Sigmund’ Nazareth (7th for ₹1.24 Lakhs), and Abhijeet ‘knot_snudtke’ Kumar (8th for ₹86,242) banked the other FT payouts.

Just as the FTS#8 Challenger was playing down to a champion, the fourth featured event of the series, the ₹16,500 entry buy-in FTS#11 Big Game, kicked off. The ₹85 Lakhs GTD event happens to be the biggest guaranteed tourney in the ongoing series so far. The event registered 543 runners, overlaying ₹3.55 Lakhs, and like all previous featured FTS 2.0 events, the game was paused once the eight-handed FT was formed. As expected from an event at such a price point, the FT lineup is replete with experienced regs. Well-known MTT reg Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall (3,525,107) bagged the overnight chip lead with Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha (2,777,602) set to make his second FT appearance at FTS 2,.0. Vivek ‘Pokerbatman27’ Rughani (2,016,264) was the only other player carrying forward a 2 Million+ stack to the FT.
Pulkit ‘Championplayer’ Goyal (1,857,946), FTS Kick-off runner-up Kushagra ‘Nkush’ Mehta (1,211,980), Rohit ‘Madmoney007’ Singh (874,699), Soham ‘galafoooo’ Pal (712,034), and Guddu ‘blackdgold’ Chaudhury (599,368) are the other finalists who will be returning at 6 PM today for a shot at winning the 18K Champions Medallion! Offering the second-biggest guarantee at the FTS series on Wednesday was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD FTS#12. Unlike the FTS Challenger, an entry field of 864 entries ensured a guarantee-busting ₹25.92 Lakhs prize pool collection. The IOPC Millionaire United champion Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani added the missing FTS title to his illustrious poker resume after shipping the tourney for ₹4.97 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan secured a runner-up score worth ₹3.12 Lakhs. Kripalani now has ₹3.10 Crores in recorded online earnings.
The ₹7 Lakhs GTD FTS#10 clocked in 741 entries, collecting ₹7.41 Lakhs in the prize pool. The tourney played down to a heads-up chop with PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja decimating the competition to win ₹1.19 Lakhs. Ujjwal ‘fultufun’ Rana finished runner-up for ₹1.14 Lakhs. Chandigarh-based pro-Ahuja, the #3 ranked player last year, now sits on ₹7.13 Crores in lifetime online winnings.

The day`s biggest draw, the ₹8 Lakhs GTD Micro Millions-21 [Night on Stars], pulled in 312 challengers, overlaying ₹1.76 Lakhs. After seven hours and thirty-five minutes of non-stop play, the mystery user ‘the_owl32’ shipped the tourney for ₹1.37 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with ‘Bootsicles’ (runner-up for ₹1.23 Lakhs).
The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Micro Millions-23 [Deepstack] registered a ₹43,500 overlay shortfall after 171 runners signed-up for ₹1,650. The 9:30 PM tourney ended at 2:20 AM, with ‘shivaay24’ walking away with the title and a ₹48,803 cash prize. The “Star of the Month” – February 2021 Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar finished runner-up but collected the lion`s share of the prize money ₹51,564, courtesy of a heads-up deal. Kochhar is whisker’s away from entering the “₹4 Crore-Club” with ₹3.99 Crores in lifetime earnings.

Just as the FTS Big Game was about to start, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Challenger played down to a winner. The Tuesday tourney had logged in 806 entries and played down to the eight-handed final table on the opening day.
