Spartan Poker’s Biggest-Ever ₹8.50 Crores GTD The Millionaire Series is Coming Your Way in April

Missing the tournament fervor after the just-concluded Final Table Series? The home to some of the biggest and most extravagant MTTs in the country, Spartan Poker (and partner sites PokerHigh and BLITZPOKER), is giving players just over a fortnight’s rest before the excitement takes on again! Yes, coming in hot on the heels of a hugely successful FTS 4.0 is the fourth installment of the site`s flagship The Millionaire Series.

And just like FTS 4.0, everything promises to be bigger and better this time around, with 8.50 Crores-plus in prize money guaranteed across 28 Millionaire-branded tournaments running from April 3 to April 10.

The Millionaire Series has traditionally been hosted as a successor to the FTS, and the last edition took place in November 2021. This time as well, Spartan Poker has mapped out a well-planned schedule of “Milly” tournaments BUT with significant upgrades. For one, three more events have been added to the schedule, and correspondingly, the prize pool guarantees have been bumped up by 1.50 Crores!

Another noticeable change is that the leaderboard prizes have been doubled since the last time. Yes, The Millionaire Series 4.0 comes packed with a 20 Lakhs-added leaderboard race.

Moreover, the schedule includes 10 marquee tournaments guaranteeing at least 10 Lakhs up-top. That`s ensuring to churn out 11 millionaires (Double Millionaire guarantees two millionaires) in just eight days!

Here`s a quick look at The Millionaire Series showstoppers.

> 1.50 Crores GTD The Millionaire Main Event (Multi-Flight) – 11,000 buy-in & 2.50 Million guaranteed to the winner

> 75 Lakhs GTD Double Millionaire (Multi-Flight)7,700 buy-in & 1 Million guaranteed to the top-two finishers

> 65 Lakhs GTD High Roller – 27,600 buy-in & 1.50 Million guaranteed to the winner

And just like that FTS 4.0, cash game players have skin in the game as well, with the Cash Fiesta – The Millionaire Series Edition making a three-week-long run from March 13 to April 9. There`s a strong incentive for cash game players to join the action with 3 Lakhs worth of The Millionaire Series tickets, 5 Lakhs in cash bonus, and other bumper prizes like a Europe package worth 4 Lakhs and a 1 Lakh Goa package in the offing.

The ongoing Cash Fiesta has separate leaderboard sprints for the High-Stakes and Mid-Stakes NLHE, PLO, and OFC players.

The Millionaire Series – Making Millionaires

The Millionaire is one of Spartan Poker`s most popular tournament offerings. While The Millionaire has made singular runs in various avatars in the past, it was only in December 2020 (December 7 – 13) when the brand first launched a dedicated The Millionaire Series for players. The inaugural edition featured a 5.70 Crore prize pool guarantee across 20 events. PokerGuru Ambassador Ashutosh Balodhi championed the first-ever The Millionaire Series Main Event, banking a career-best 34.24 Lakhs.

Ashutosh Balodhi

The series made another two runs in May (3 – 9) and November (21 – 28) of 2021. On May 9, 2021, PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik Ved captured the Millionaire Series #16 – The Millionaire title for 29.90 Lakhs.

Taking down The Millionaire Main Event in the November edition last year was none other than Young Gun Anuj Yadav. The online phenom created history by winning the Millionaire Series #24 – The Millionaire for 28.92 Lakhs, becoming the first player to win the coveted The Millionaire title three times. Looking at his recent form – he is the #1 ranked MTT player of the year currently – it wouldn`t be too outlandish to expect him to make a strong showing yet again at the upcoming series.
