Daily Majors: Sandeep Tulsyan, Utkarsh Vaish, Aayush Arya & Anant Purohit Champion the Friday Flagships

The turnouts across the Friday flagships were polarized, given the absence of a sizable lot of regs busy attending the 2023 WPT Prime Cambodia. However, the relatively softer fields made for a scoring frenzy among the few who stayed back.

The players at the micro stakes had little reason to complain, with the IndiaPlays Micro Poker League and PokerDangal`s DMVS putting up a decent Friday schedule of affordable tournaments.

Rocking the Friday charts was the first-ever WPT India 30K Superstack champion, Sandeep Tulsyan. Recovering from a three-month downswing, Tulsyan shipped Adda52’s The Ballers for 5.20 Lakhs (his third-best online score), ending an eight-month-long title slump.

Dhinesh Kumar kept his sails high by raking in 3.10 Lakhs for his runner-up finish in The Ballers. The reigning Legend Poker Series Main Event champion accumulated 4.77 Lakhs last night from four deep runs, which included another runner-up finish in Spartan Poker’s Futuristic – Triple Chance!

After podium finishes in two Spartan Poker flagships earlier this week, Utkarsh Vaish scored a breakout win in Spartan Poker’s The Elite (6-Max), banking ₹4.95 Lakhs (his third-best score on the site). He struck a heads-up in the tournament with the #6 ranked player of the year, Laksh Pal Singh (2nd for ₹4.80 Lakhs).

Young Gun Aayush Arya made a rousing comeback to the spotlight after a month-long gap by taking down PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller for the second time for 4.67 Lakhs. Sunday’s BSS HighRoller champion ‘gdgdg’ finished runner-up for 3.09 Lakhs.

Siddharth Pandey came in all guns blazing in PokerBaazi’s Daily Value Boost to win 1.29 Lakhs – his first top finish in over a month. The sports entrepreneur chopped the 7:30 PM tournament three-way deal with yesterday’s (7-Max) Afternoon Boost finalist Aditya Pandita (2nd for 1.11 Lakhs) and Nathaniel Fancon (3rd for 1.01 Lakhs).

PokerStars India loyalist ‘sumitm74’ scored a thumping victory in the site`s The Big Bash [8-Max, PKO], netting ₹2.49 Lakhs (₹1.48 Lakhs in bounties) for the win. The unstoppable online crusher Aditya Singh earned ₹1.25 Lakhs (₹23,438 in bounties) in second place (won at least ₹1.43 Lakhs overall).

Anant Purohit went the distance in Spartan Poker`s Futuristic – Triple Chance, and that too in style. The well-known reg had three stacks in play and carried two stacks to the final table, carrying one of them to the finish line for 1.62 Lakhs. The shorter stack landed him an eighth-place payout (24,400), making for combined winnings of 1.86 Lakhs.

The #1 ranked player on the annual TLB standings, Mohak Kapoor, Chirag Sodha, Jatin Sablani, Raman Arora, Jaiskishan Jangid, Vijendra Sharma, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Deepak Chawla, Yash Jaiswal, Pavan H, Sanjay Mohan, Shiven Meena, Shreyansh Sharma, and Rattan Singh won the other Friday majors.
