Online Rankings: Vishal Bajaj Dominates the Weekly Charts, Gaurav Sood Completes Second Week at the Top of the Monthly & Yearly Standings

In this feature, we bring you to the top three weekly, monthly, and yearly performers every Sunday. These rankings are based on cumulative winnings (cashes). However, the rankings only include players registered to our online ranking system, so if you haven’t signed up on PokerGuru yet, hurry up and register!

This weekend feature has turned into a fan column for Gaurav Sood, and rightfully so! The 25-year-old Young Gun has been crushing the online MTTs for over 17 months now, and the former dentist completes his second consecutive week ranked #1 on the yearly and monthly charts today. Gaurav Sood is the winningest player on our database and the only one with over ₹3 Crores in recorded annual winnings. He added ₹5.32 Lakhs this past week (excluding his runner-up finish in the WPT Table for 6 on August 21), improving his annual tally to ₹3.19 Crores.

Sood has strengthened his lead over the #2 ranked Manish Lakhotia by over ₹20 Lakhs. Not just that, he happens to be the most profitable player of the year with ₹1.59 Crores in profits (and counting) – a distinction he held almost all through last year as well. If all of this was not enough to make this poker superstar stand out, the dentist-turned poker pro boasts a whopping ₹9.90 Crores in online earnings, over ₹1 Crore more than anyone else on our tracked database.

The top-order on the annual leaderboard stays the same, with Manish Lakhotia and PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh sitting at the #2 and #3 positions, respectively.

Moving on to the monthly standings, here again, Gaurav Sood topped the charts on the back of his trailblazing run last week. And even though he had a relatively lackluster week, it was enough to keep him in the lead with ₹67.76 Lakhs in recorded winnings, includes ₹49.71 Lakhs in monthly profits. The latest IOPC – The Crown champion.

Vaibhav Temani stays put at #2 on the monthly charts with ₹58.14 Lakhs in winnings. Temani profitable a ginormous 55.79 Lakhs in the IOPC showstopper at the start of the month and tops the monthly profit charts on this account. PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj sits at #3 in the monthly standings.

The coaches at PokerGuru Staking call Vishal Bajaj the most promising talent at the stable, and the young pro has been living up to that enviable reputation. August has been nothing short of fantastic for Bajaj, who made early inroads with a runner-up finish in the WPT India Mini Highroller for ₹9.60 Lakhs on August 5. Two weeks later, he got his hands on the elusive WPT trophy after winning the WPT India Highroller for a career-best ₹21.60 Lakhs on August 20. Vishal Bajaj`s WPT India Highroller score makes him the top-ranked player of the week with ₹25.78 Lakhs in recorded winnings. With the more experienced Vishal Bajaj dominating the weekly charts, the new PokerGuru Staking recruit, Deepankur Gupta, sits behind him at #2 on the weekly rankings. Gupta won Spartan Poker`s The Millionaire last Sunday for a career-best ₹17.76 Lakhs, becoming the sixth player from the stable to take down the weekend flagship this year. On Friday, Sumit Sapra became the sixth player to cross the ₹8 Crore mark in annual winnings after his runner-up finish in the WPT India Highroller. The seasoned pro caps off the top three places on the weekly charts!
