Daily Majors: Shravan Chhabria, Nikhil Yadav, Mohammad Azhar & Ayush Garg Make Top Finishes in the Friday Flagships
With the weekend rolling in, the online action on Friday was electrifying, as most flagships comfortably surpassed their guarantees.
Grabbing the headlines was seasoned MTT pro (and a former Young Gun) Shravan Chhabria, who banked over ₹6.28 Lakhs for taking down Adda52’s The Ballers.
Nikhil Yadav, Mohammad Azhar, Ayush Garg, Amarjeet Singh, and Umesh Sharma dominated the other Friday marquee tourneys.
Here`s a complete recap of the day’s highlights!
Spartan Poker
Spartan Poker’s weekend fiesta, the ₹1 Crore GTD Millionaire, completed its second starting flight on Friday. Day 1B of the ₹5,500 entry-buy-in event gathered 354 participants, and only 46 survived the day`s play. The event has already registered 676 entries (Day 1A – 322 and Day 1B – 354), with three more flights to go before Day 2 on Sunday. ‘Ken4two’ (320,471) bagged the end-of-the-day chip lead, taking the overall chip lead. The FTS 2.0 Main Event champion, Young Gun Siddharth ‘Ari Tribbiani’ Karia (238,097) and ‘nymphetamine’ (235,765) were the top three names on the Day 1B survivor`s list.
The day`s featured tourney, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Elite, logged in 330 contestants, accumulating a whopping ₹33 Lakhs in the prize pool. The 9:30 PM tourney went on for over seven and a half hours before ‘Khuranaji’ and Nikhil ‘louis02’ Yadav cut a heads-up deal to wrap up the proceedings. The former was awarded the title and a ₹6.31 Lakhs payday, while Yadav secured the runner-up payout of ₹5.36 Lakhs. This happens to be the first major title for the anonymous champion, pushing his total winnings on the site to ₹6.46 Lakhs (₹5.35 Lakhs in net profits).
Like The Elite, even the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Futuristic crushed its advertised guarantee easily, as a starting field of 1,277 challengers generated a prize pool worth ₹10.22 Lakhs. The mystery user ‘LACHANCE’ was the last player standing and banked a personal-best (on Spartan Poker) ₹1.68 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with ‘prasun2329’ (runner-up for ₹1.42 Lakhs).
The theme on Day 5 of the Ultimate Value Series (UVS) was knockout tourneys. And Spartan Poker ran five UVS events on Friday. The biggest of them, the ₹4 Lakhs GTD UVS #29, was taken down by ‘NothingElseMatters.’ The player pierced a 429-entry field to win ₹70,995, following a three-way deal with Kriti ‘ironlady’ Kuksal (runner-up for ₹63,107) and Akshay ‘Sp3wdi3pi3’ Dhingra (3rd for ₹53,647).
