Tuesday’s online poker arena was electric! With high-stakes tournaments in PokerBaazi’s ₹50 Crores GTD National Poker Series India 2024 and Junglee Poker’s ₹6+ Crores GTD Dhina Dhin Dha series fueling the fire, the battle for medals and massive payouts was nothing short of epic.

The undisputed star of Tuesday night was Tarush Gupta. His reign in PokerBaazi`s NPS#69 Mini HighRoller was nothing short of legendary, earning him his first-ever NPS Gold Medal and a staggering ₹13.47 Lakhs top prize. This monumental win catapulted Gupta’s online earnings past the ₹2 Crore mark and skyrocketed his annual profits beyond ₹50 Lakhs. Four additional deep runs propelled Gupta’s total for the day to an eye-popping ₹13.78 Lakhs.

AOPS – Goa Edition Main Event runner-up Vaibhav Sharma was hot on Gupta’s heels! Despite narrowly missing another title, his runner-up finish in the NPS#69 Mini HighRoller earned him a massive ₹10.64 Lakhs payday and his third career NPS Silver Medal, rocketing him into the #2 spot in annual profits.

Online poker powerhouse Kabir Tandon also made his mark in the NPS Mini Highroller, snagging his first-ever NPS medal – a dazzling Bronze – and a hefty ₹8.03 Lakh payday. But his night was far from over! Five cashes (including a Fifty Stack title on Natural8 India) saw Tandon rake in an incredible ₹12.85 Lakhs for the day.

Akshay Joshi made a triumphant return, breaking an over-year-long title drought by taking down PokerBaazi’s NPS#70 Deepdive. This victory, his third NPS Gold, came with a hefty ₹3.83 Lakhs prize. NPS India 2024 Series Leaderboard Standings After Day 10

The race for the NPS India 2024 Series Leaderboard crown is a nail-biter! As Day 10 concludes, poker titans and rising stars are locked in a fierce battle for supremacy.

Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh‘s reign continues! His epic double Gold Medal win last week propelled him to the top, and he’s been unstoppable ever since. With seven straight days at #1, a final table finish in NPS#31 (PLO-5), and a jaw-dropping 30 additional cashes, Parakh sits comfortably in the lead with 16,578 points. However, even a day off for a birthday celebration has seen him slip in the Podium Leaderboard standings from #2 to #3. This shows how cutthroat the NPS competition truly is!

Avneesh ‘iamam’ Munjal is back in familiar territory, holding the #2 spot on the Series Leaderboard for the second straight day. His relentless assault on every NPS event fueled his surge. With an impressive 67 cashes out of 71 tournaments, he’s not far from Parakh with 14,635 points.

Last year’s NPS Podium Leaderboard champion Vikram Mishra roared back into contention with a decisive Gold Medal win in NPS #33 Thursday Thunder. This victory, his first gold of the series, combined with final table appearances in three other events, solidifies his #3 spot on the Series Leaderboard with 13,815 points.

NPS India 2024 Podium Leaderboard Standings After Day 10

The NPS India 2024 Podium Leaderboard is ablaze with action and Young Gun Abhishek ‘addysonu’ Sonu has stormed to the top after Day 10. His relentless pursuit of Gold, including a victory in last night’s NPS#71 Relay, has propelled him past the competition. With three Gold Medals already under his belt (including back-to-back wins in NPS#32 #Slamdunk and NPS#44 #Slamdunk), Sonu is now the second player in the series to achieve this feat and commands the Podium Leaderboard with 32 points.

Former #1 Samay ‘SamaySinghModi’ Singh Modi is hot on his heels. His recent domination remains legendary, with three consecutive days at the top and a dazzling three-Gold Medal streak. However, he’s slipped to #2 but is still an undeniable NPS force to be reckoned with.

Meanwhile, NPS Series Leaderboard leader Rising Star Aman ‘KarmaPoker’ Parakh is a constant threat. Despite a well-deserved birthday break, he remains in the podium hunt at #3. His two Golds, one Silver, and eight career NPS medals make him a formidable contender.

‘saifjolly’ (Won 4 Lakhs GTD (7-Max) Midnight SPRINT for 62,130), ‘nash007’ (Won 1 Lakh GTD PLO-6 Daily for 31,540), ‘tomspoker’ (Won 1 Lakh GTD (6-Max) SPRINT for 22,010), and Sanchit ‘deuceseven27’ Nag (Won 1 Lakh GTD Midnight SPRINT for 20,300) won the other Tuesday marquees on PokerBaazi.

Day 3 of the 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event had all the excitement and drama that fans and players have come to expect. Excitement was running high for the Indian rail rooting for Paawan Bansal (cover image). Unfortunately, the day saw his memorable run ending and Canada’s Santiago Plante surging ahead to lead the remaining 79 players into Day 4.

The 2018 WSOP Event #75: The Closer runner-up, Paawan Bansal, was the only Indian player to cross the money line in the Main Event, finishing 133rd for €15,550. The score marked his best live score this year and his highest-recorded cash finish at the EPT.

Paawan Bansal

Hailing from Meerut, Bansal has been an active and consistent performer on the live poker circuit, with notable finishes both in domestic and international tournaments. In 2022, he achieved a notable second-place finish in the DPT April ₹65K High Roller, pocketing ₹22.15 Lakhs. This year, he has already made deep runs in prestigious tournaments like Poker Dream Malaysia, EPT Paris, APT Phu Quoc, WPT Prime India, and the 2023 World Series of Poker.

According to his Hendon Mob profile, Bansal’s live tournament earnings have reached a commendable $743,902.

Entering Day 3 with a below-average stack among 303 players. Bansal kept his sails high, waiting patiently to make his moves. On his final hand, Bansal moved all-in with against Lucas Scafini’s . Although both players hit a pair on the flop , Scafini had the upper hand with a pair of kings. The turn and river could not salvage Bansal`s chances.

Canadian Santiago Plante, no stranger to the limelight, carries a commanding lead to Day 4. He closed the day with 3,025,000 chips, equivalent to 202 big blinds. Plante has already had a successful series, including a sixth-place finish in a €2,000 NLHE event. His consistent performances make him one of the top contenders to win the grand prize of €1,488,000.

While Plante leads, the race is still very tight. UK’s Carl Shaw Kingdom is not far behind with 2,200,000 chips. Uruguay’s Mathias Duarte (2,115,000), Spain’s Ka Kwan Lau (2,110,000), and Argentina’s Ezequiel Waigel (2,110,000) also feature in the top five chip counts, making the competition fiercely international.

The money bubble burst towards the end of Day 2, ensuring that each player returning for Day 3 was guaranteed a minimum of €8,850.

Eduard Bargesyan, the start-of-Day 3 chip leader, has fallen behind, ending the day with just 410,000 chips. On the other hand, PokerStars Ambassador Benjamin Spragg made an early exit, finishing in 147th place for €13,450.

Paul Jurcuta, another PokerStars player who entered the event through a Power Path Gold Pass, has locked in at least €20,550 for his efforts. His performance will be closely watched as the tournament heads into its crucial stages.

With 2,120 entries on the roster, this year’s €5,300 Main Event has secured its place in history as the second-largest EPT Main Event ever held. Participants from around the globe are locked in fierce competition for a slice of the staggering €10,282,000 prize pool.

Tension and excitement are palpable as the clock ticks toward Day 4 of this electrifying event. The players are set to reconvene at Casino Barcelona at noon (local time), each with their eyes set on the jaw-dropping top prize of €1,488,000. At this stage, every remaining competitor has already guaranteed themselves at least €20,550, but you can be sure they have their sights set on a much loftier goal.

Day 4 promises to be another riveting day of poker action as the field narrows down and the remaining players look to cement their legacy in one of the most prestigious poker tournaments in the world.

In 2023, Bansal has already made deep runs in live stops like Poker Dream Malaysia, EPT Paris, APT Phu Quoc, WPT Prime India, and WSOP. Before making it to Day 3 of the EPT Barcelona Main Event, the Meerut lad had a singular prior EPT cash to his name worth €2,460, earned in an NLHE event at EPT Paris this February.

With the money bubble bursting on Day 2, all Day 3 players are assured at least €8,850, with their eyes set on the prestigious EPT Main Event trophy and the staggering top reward of €1,488,000.

Bansal took to Instagram to share glimpses of his journey, acknowledging his survival through “a table from hell” that included notable figures like Niklas Astedt. With his indomitable spirit, Bansal said he would be putting his “best foot forward” on Day 3.

The day’s proceedings concluded after five 90-minute levels of play. The bubble burst after an intense two-hour hand-for-hand struggle, culminating with Juan Maceiras being eliminated as the bubble boy.

Advancing to Day 3 are distinguished players like Frank Lagodich (549,000), Patrik Antonius (137,000), Maria Ho (133,000), David Docherty (72,000), Davidi Kitai (79,000), and Romain Lewis (70,000).
