Daily Majors: Anmol Narang, Shravan Chhabria, Anuj Yadav, Harsh Dembla & Gopal Bajaj Dominate the Wednesday Marquees

We are now just two days away from closing out the year. Most of the Wednesday flagships comfortably sailed through and only a few registered overlays.

The former The Millionaire champion Anmol Narang was the day’s top scorer as he won Spartan Poker’s Destiny (IOPC Bubble) for ₹4.65 Lakhs. A heads-up deal saw MTT pro Shravan Chhabria placing runner-up for ₹4.36 Lakhs.

The three-time The Millionaire champion Young Gun Anuj Yadav took down Adda52’s Wipeout for ₹3.10 Lakhs defeating the EndBoss 2021 runner-up Dhiraj Lakhotia (runner-up for ₹1.76 Lakhs) heads-up.

Sunday’s BSS SuperStack winner ‘bencb789’ walked away with PokerBaazi’s The Pride title for the second time this year for ₹2.48 Lakhs. Harsh Dembla finished runner-up for ₹1.74 Lakhs.

Monday’s ReCharge & Tuesday’s Mega Stack runner-up Gopal Bajaj championed PokerStars India’s Night on Stars for ₹1.01 Lakhs, while Amit Kaushik finished runner-up for ₹77,611.

Akash Singhal, Saurav Bansal, Aryaman Arora, Hemang Shah, Hemant Meena, and Nitesh Mallanar were the day’s other winners.

The former The Millionaire champion Anmol ‘geeegeee’ Narang clinched his sixth title of the year in the event for ₹4.65 Lakhs. Narang also became the fourth player to book a seat in the Destiny 22.0 SnG Finale set for February 13, 2022 (9 PM). A heads-up deal saw MTT pro Shravan ‘D.Trump04’ Chhabria securing a runner-up payday worth ₹4.36 Lakhs.

Sporting a ₹3,850 buy-in, the event logged in a 321-entry field, collecting ₹11.24 Lakhs in the prize pool. After almost seven hours of MTT action, Sunday’s BSS SuperStack winner ‘bencb789’ (anonymity requested) walked away with The Pride title for the second time this year for ₹2.48 Lakhs. On June 9, they had won The Pride title for the first time for ₹2.69 Lakhs. Harsh ‘100crdream’ Dembla finished runner-up for ₹1.74 Lakhs.

Finally, Bajaj ended his runner-up streak on Wednesday by claiming his career-second Night on Stars title for ₹1.01 Lakhs while Amit ‘Stu Ungar 7694’ Kaushik finished runner-up for ₹77,611.

Dhinesh Kumar Champions Spartan Poker’s WCS#40 – United For ₹18.16 Lakhs; Sumit Sapra, Sandeep Varma, Ashwin Vijay & Shardul Parthasarathi Win the Other Sunday Flagships

As we get into the holiday mood, the online poker sites keep doling out sizzling hot action! Sundays are the most active day of the week for poker players, and yesterday did not disappoint.

Spartan Poker’s Winter Celebration Series was undoubtedly the star attraction for players, and the first of the two ₹1 Crore GTD events on the WCS schedule, i.e., WCS#40 – United, saw Dhinesh Kumar walking away with the title! The former Full House winner claimed a monstrous ₹18.16 Lakhs, the second-best payout of his online career so far after beating Yash Chitre (2nd for ₹10.38 Lakhs) heads-up.

The veteran MTT pro Sumit Sapra captured his fourth title of the year in PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack for ₹4.37 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj locked in a runner-up finish worth ₹3.06 Lakhs. The former Millionaire champion, Bajaj, ran deep in two more events, netting ₹6.56 Lakhs collectively.

Sandeep Varma took down Adda52’s Nano Main Event for ₹3.81 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with Bibhu Agarwal (2nd for ₹3.17 Lakhs) and Chirag Sodha (3rd for ₹2.82 Lakhs).

Ashwin Vijay was the last player standing in PokerStars India’s Sunday Special – Progressive KO and scored ₹3.14 Lakhs. Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi came out on top in Sunday Highroller to collect ₹2.35 Lakhs.

Dhinesh ‘kendralust’ Kumar emerged as the Sunday chartbuster as he took down the ₹1 Crore GTD WCS #40 – United. The former Millionaire Lite winner trounced a 1,468-entry field to claim the lion’s share of the ₹1.02 Crores prize pool worth a ginormous ₹18.16 Lakhs.

The WCS United victory fetched Dhinesh Kumar his 15th title of the year and his second-best online score to date. His career-best finish remains the ₹25 Lakhs he won in Adda52’s Full House on August 23, 2020.

Karnataka High Court to Hold Final Hearings of Petitions Challenging Online Gaming Ban, FIFS Joins Legal Fight

The Karnataka High Court conducted two hearings of the petitions challenging the state government’s recently instituted ban on online gaming. On December 1, the High Court, with the consensus of parties involved, announced that the hearing sessions for the matter would be considered final. On December 1, Advocate-General Prabhulinga K Navadgi continued his submissions, reiterating the state’s stand on the issue.

On December 6, Senior Advocate Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing GameKraft, submitted his rejoinder. Advocate Sridhar Prabhu also gave his final submissions on behalf of Sharada DR. The matter will be heard next on December 14.

The Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS) also filed a writ petition, joining the group of industry bodies fighting the online gaming ban.

2021 WSOP Europe

The 2021 WSOP is just one day away from wrapping up proceedings! Taking place at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, the 15-event stop has just the €10,350 WSOPE Main Event to play down to a champion with a seven-player final table already formed.

The series has so far distributed 14 WSOP gold bracelets (five this week), with Ukraine’s Andriy Lyubovetskiy banking the biggest score this week. He won Event #10: €25,000 Platinum High Roller for a career-best €518,430.

With the weekend closing in, the MTT turnouts on Thursday were encouraging, and the top regs dominated most of the day`s flagships!

The biggest Thursday attraction was Spartan Poker’s The Big Deal that made a comeback after a four-week gap. The long-time circuit reg and one of our former Young Guns, Shravan Chhabria, shipped the ₹30 Lakhs GTD event for a whopping ₹8.25 Lakhs, bagging the day`s single-biggest score. The former SSS Super High Roller winner Sahil Mahboobani placed runner-up for ₹5.58 Lakhs.

Siddhanth Kapoor took down Adda52’s Godfather for a career-best ₹5.16 Lakhs, picking up his first flagship title in almost four months!

The former Millionaire champion Shagun Jain came out on top in PokerBaazi’s The Summit for his 11th tournament title of the year and a ₹3.84 Lakhs payday. Aniket Waghmare placed runner-up for ₹2.69 Lakhs.

The Trending Thursday played down to a heads-up deal, and the user ‘Hangry Hulk’ came out on top to win a personal-best ₹3.38 Lakhs. The in-form Kunal Yadav placed runner-up for a site-best ₹3.28 Lakhs, courtesy of a heads-up deal.
