Spartan Poker’s Millionaire series is back after a week’s hiatus with not one but two Millionaire editions playing side by side!

Day 1A of the bigger showstopper, the ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire logged in 296 entries, and 35 survived the day`s play. ‘Jonty102’ (200,553), Atif ‘LuckyWoolF’ Khan (182,176), and ‘iamraman’ (179,013) bagged the top three stacks on Day 1A.

The Millionaire D’Lite ran two starting flights on Friday. The high-value event had made its debut run at The Millionaire Series in December 2020. The entry buy-in for the tourney has been hiked from ₹165 to ₹220 this edition, but it still offers exceptional value with a promised prize pool guarantee of ₹10 Lakhs or 5,000 entries. Day 1A took off at 3 PM, recording 483 entries. Mahesh ‘THE MASK’ Vishwanath Randive (285,749) topped the surviving field of 62 runners, with ‘ulti_1mate’ (139,339) and ‘VantagePoint’ (113,948) carrying forward the next top stacks. The biggest guaranteed tourney to play down to a winner last night was The Elite. Offering a hefty ₹30 Lakhs prize pool guarantee for an entry buy-in of ₹11,000, the tourney pulled in 286 runners, filling in ₹1.40 Lakhs in overlays. The 9:30 PM tourney went on until 4:35 AM today, with Kapil ‘042-237-575-86’ Arora walking away with the title and a personal-best ₹5.87 Lakhs, after striking a heads-up deal with the former IOPC Destiny champion Vishnu ‘violator’ Khandelwal (runner-up for ₹5.26 Lakhs).

Arora cashed a few other tourneys that included a 10th place finish in the Running Hot for ₹9,240. His total winnings for the day stood at ₹6.09 Lakhs, pushing his lifetime tally north of ₹1.63 Crores.

In the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Futuristic, Thursday’s Monster Stack runner-up, PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘reconnecting’ Desai, pierced his way through the 1,073 entry-field to collect ₹1.40 Lakhs, following a four-way deal with Somesh SekharnaoSharma (runner-up for ₹1.12 Lakhs), Rishab ‘NoChanc3’ Malik (3rd for ₹97,474) and Rohan ‘oldrod’ Sahni (4th for ₹93,395).

PokerStars India’s Friday mainstay, the ₹3,850 entry buy-in Uppercut MAGIC Edition, witnessed a footfall of 174 entrants, recording a ₹91,000 shortfall on its ₹10 Lakhs guarantee. The top 29 places benefitted from the added value while also earning TLB points towards the “Star of the Month” – March leaderboard race. MTT crusher Sagar ‘sagarpupull’ Choudhury was the last player standing and won ₹1.36 Lakhs (includes ₹70,902 in bounties) after defeating Deepesh ‘deep12322’ Raka (runner-up for ₹76,093 – includes ₹10,063 in bounties) in the final showdown.

Deepesh Raka’s runner-up finish in the Uppercut comes less than a week after his third-place finish in the Sunday Special PKO for ₹1.21 Lakhs.

The ₹2 Lakhs GTD The Classic PKO collected a generous ₹2.26 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 151 entries. Ajit ‘ace_bob_here’ Arora, who has won The Classic once before, and placed third in the event a day back, went all the distance to win ₹55,402 (₹22,917 in prize money & ₹32,484 in bounties). ‘WhiteRabbit87’ placed runner-up for ₹33,652 (₹22,917 in prize money & ₹10,734 in bounties).
