Nemo in denial ??

Hey guys

Newbie-noob here , and have to say a pretty nice place. Unfortunately the site seems to be catered almost exclusively towards MTTs (lol donkaments ) and there seem little or almost no content regarding cash games.

Unfortunately for you donkamentors this blog is going to be about cash games, and specifically of the NL Heads-UP variety.

Lets start off with a little bit of background : I have been playing HU cash almost exclusively for a year now and play upto 1/2 NL across all sites (PS, tilt, ipoker, merge and till a few months ago UB ). I dont table select at 50 and 100 nl (my regular games), but do so on 200nl.

Heres a few graphs for the past 250k hands (4-5 months) :

Plus a few k on UB and just started play on merge and ipoker about a month ago. The sad thing though is volume has been a bit slack over the last 2 months (including a month off completely) as I have a full time job and got married recently, but hopefully its going to pick up. I play upto 8 tables of HU across all sites at a time depending on action and i believe that is one of the big reasons why my win rate is a bit low.

My poker goal right now is to move up to 1/2NL by the end of the year, but a lot of that will depend on what kind of volume I can put in over the next few months. So this blog will kind of track my journey as I make my move towards being a mid-stakes reg.

Heres a run good hand from today vs villain who is 3 betting 27% over a pretty big sample and 4 betting 12% preflop.

Hero shows J:spade: A:spade: (One Pair, Jacks) (PreFlop 31%, Flop 80%, Turn 93%)
Hero wins $0.00
Hero wins $202.88

If we are 100bb deep its a easy 5bet-get-it-in preflop given how wide villain has been 3 betting. But 200bb deep i think calling is ok given we have a hand which plays pretty well post flop vs a light 4 bettor. Rest of the hand pretty much plays itself.

Well thats all for now, if any of you have any questions on cash game shoot me a pm or leave a comment here and i’ll be happy to help you out.
