The Game Changer & The MoneyMaker

Online poker in India has come a long way in the last few years, and PokerBaazi has stayed ahead of the competition on the back of its premium tournament offerings like The Game Changer and The MoneyMaker. Both events were the first to be offered in the country at their pitted ₹2 Crore and ₹1 Crore prize pool guarantees.

The MoneyMaker was launched first, in 2017, with Anujkumar Kodam landing the first-ever MoneyMaker title.

Another 12 editions of the tournament have been held since, leading up to PokerBaazi’s Baazi Billions promotion (March 25 – May 23, 2022), which ran another seven The MoneyMaker editions. WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant won the seventh and the final MoneyMaker tournament on May 8, banking ₹14.75 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Kanishka Upreti, who walked away with a bigger ₹17.60 Lakhs paycheque.

The MoneyMaker will be the star attraction on the opening day of the PokerBaazi Classics. The ₹11,000 buy-in flagship will make its usual single-day run starting at 6 PM on July 31, Sunday.

The Game Changer is one of PokerBaazi’s top MTT offerings that debuted in February 2019, offering for the first time in the country a ₹2 Crore prize pool guarantee for a buy-in of ₹11,000. Prashanth Sekar emerged as the first-ever Game Changer champion and won ₹33 Lakhs after striking a four-way deal.

For tournament players, the site has hosted flagship MTT stops like the ‘₹10 Mein 10 Lakhpati,’ National Poker Series (NPS) 2.0, the Lakhpati Series, the 1100 Texas Hold ’em Championship (THC), and more recently, the fourth edition of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) India Online Series.
