Daily Majors: Ashish Munot Champions Spartan Poker’s FTS #46 Super High Roller For ₹46.06 Lakhs, Climbs to #1 in the POY Ranking
Friday signaled the start of a blockbuster weekend for online MTT players. Spartan Poker’s biggest-ever Final Table Series 6.0, PokerBaazi’s 1000X Series, and PokerStars India’s MicroMillions are fast moving towards their Sunday finale even as the first-ever IndiaPlays Micro Poker League got off the ground running on Friday.
Even with so much happening across all the top poker platforms, Ashish Munot was the name that shone the brightest on the Friday charts. One of the top tournament pros in the country, Munot pulled outa dazzling run in the day`s biggest attraction, Spartan Poker`s FTS #46 Super High Roller. The 2019 WPT India Main Event champion outplayed a fiercely competitive field in the ₹2.10 Lakhs entry buy-in tournament, winning his second SHR title this year for an online best ₹46.06 Lakhs, his first FTS gold medallion and a seat on The Master Table. The mystery user ‘ubuntu’ playing their tenth tournament on Spartan Poker, raked in a jackpot ₹33.18 Lakhs in second place.
Like the day before, the breakout score caused a significant churn in the annual leaderboards as the Friday win catapulted Munot to the top of the POY race. The poker pro also crossed ₹1 Crore in annual profits, becoming the first player to do so.
The first IOPC The Crown winner, Harshit Sanghi, ended his title jinx in the other FTS gold medallion flagship, Spartan Poker`s FTS #45 Friday Titan, taking it down for a handsome ₹13.58 Lakhs (his best score of the year) and a seat on The Master Table. Devendra Suthar collected a career-best ₹8.61 Lakhs in second place (won ₹8.66 Lakhs overall).
Kabir Tandon was another Spartan Poker reg on the FTS Friday winners list. He won FTS #43 Marathon for ₹5.68 Lakhs, bagging away the FTS silver medallion and a seat on The Master Table.
Vikas Yadav (Won FTS #44 Triple Chance for ₹2.17 Lakhs), Kunal Agrawal (Won FTS #47 Turbo for ₹1.81 Lakhs), and Ashit Sharma (Won FTS #42 for ₹1.55 Lakhs) won the other FTS silver medallions on Friday.
Lavesh Meena came out charging last night, adding ₹5.12 Lakhs from two top finishes and ending a 14-week-long title slump. He made the victory march in PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller, banking a site-best ₹4.52 Lakhs shortly after finishing runner-up in Adda52’s Friday Bounty for ₹59,605.
Ashutosh Balodhi nailed PokerBaazi’s 1000X#32 (7-Max) Friday Prime for ₹4 Lakhs (won ₹4.24 Lakhs overall). Dinesh Kukreja placed runner-up for ₹2.43 Lakhs.
Arbaaz Ahmed (Won 1000X#33 for ₹1.17 Lakhs), ‘5betjam’ (Won 1000X#31 for ₹88,466), and ‘papajigope’ (Won 1000X#30 (PLO-6) for ₹42,324) won the other 1000X Series Friday tournaments.
The FTS #19 Sunday Grande winner Rajat Sharma added another flagship title to his weekly scorecard, winning Adda52’s The Ballers for the second time for ₹4.89 Lakhs. He struck a heads-up deal with Vinay Rajpal (2nd for ₹4.18 Lakhs) (won ₹5.34 Lakhs overall).
Advait Rajguru posted his fourth top finish of the year in PokerStars India’s Micro Millions-28 [KO Low Roller], winning the 8 PM tournament for ₹2.40 Lakhs. Sreekanth Narayan came second for ₹1.17 Lakhs (won ₹3.06 Lakhs overall).
