Shagun Jain Creates History; Becomes First Player to Win PokerBaazi’s Game Changer For a Second Time For ₹25.30 Lakhs!

This past Sunday was a smashing one, with two eight-figure guarantee tournaments playing down to a winner! Taking the cake was seasoned pro Shagun Jain! The Jaipur-based player created history by becoming the first to win PokerBaazi`s Game Changer for a second time! Jain, who won the Game Changer 2.0 title in 2019, repeated the feat by taking down the ₹2 Crores GTD PBC#22 Game Changer last night for a jaw-dropping ₹25.30 Lakhs.

Sumit Kumar (2nd for ₹17 Lakhs) and Avijit Jaiswal (3rd for ₹13 Lakhs) banked the other seven-figure scores in the PBC#22 Game Changer.

The final day of the PokerBaazi Classics 2.0 crowned many big winners! Just like the past Sunday when Aditya Sushant won The MoneyMaker title for a second time, Jain drove up the action last night, traversing past the 3,797-player field in the Sunday headliner, eventually defeating Sumit ‘Sunmol’ Kumar (2nd for ₹17 Lakhs) heads-up to emerge as The Game Changer 6.0 champion.

The Jaipur-based Jain’s first victory in the flagship tournament dates back to August 2019, when he had pocketed ₹40.78 Lakh for taking down the biggest guaranteed tournament at that time. Last July, Sogani also joined The Millionaire club after he shipped the Spartan Poker flagship for ₹17.89 Lakhs.

Daily Majors: Ashit Sharma, Vaibhav Sharma, Areyann Gurbaxani & Arpit Jain Champion the Wednesday Flagships

The Wednesday MTTs packed quite the punch, and two players clearly stood out from the rest!

Ashit Sharma was the day`s standout winner and topped the Wednesday charts with over 6.75 Lakhs in total winnings. He won two tournaments: Spartan Poker’s Wednesday High Roller (5.67 Lakhs) and PokerBaazi’s Daily Boost (45,674), and cashed another four, crossing 1 Crore in tracked online profits! Last week’s Wednesday High Roller runner-up finisher Vishal Ojha (2nd for 3.91 Lakhs) again came up one place short of the finish line.

The upcoming poker star Areyann Gurbaxani was another Wednesday trailblazer who won two tournaments and chopped another with none other than Ashit Sharma, collectively banking 3.92 Lakhs. The former NPS#4: Sunday Marathon champion, Gurbaxani, won PokerBaazi’s The Pride (2.86 Lakhs) and Spartan Poker’s Sundowner (55,818). Ganesh Durgade pocketed a career-best 2 Lakhs for his runner-up finish in The Pride.

The former SSS – The Millionaire runner-up finisher Vaibhav Sharma championed Spartan Poker’s Destiny for 4.41 Lakhs, becoming the sixth player to lock in a seat in the 10 Lakhs GTD Destiny 24.0 SnG Finale. The former IOPC – Destiny champion, Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra, collected 2.93 Lakhs in second place.

Sakshi Pandey made the victory march in Adda52’s Maverick, picking up a site-best 3.90 Lakhs. Tuesday’s (7-Max) SPRINT winner, Ashish Nailwal, kept his July scorecard ticking with a second place finish in Maverick for 2.21 Lakhs and cumulatively pocketed ₹2.42 Lakhs across two FT finishes.

The IOPC JAN 2021 – Value Mine champion Shakti Soni shipped Spartan Poker’s Wed Poker Nite #1 for 1.09 Lakhs, beating Aditya Kesharwani (2nd for 73,692) heads-up.

Nitesh Baliyan stormed his way to the top in Adda52’s La Luna to collect his maiden title of the year and 1.11 Lakhs in prize money.

Our very own ‘Chota Machhi’ AKA Arpit Jain, won PokerStars India’s Night on Stars for the second time this month for 1.01 lakhs. The #8 ranked player of the year, Siddharth Gangwar, finished runner-up for 77,611.

Tuesday’s Monster Stack champion, poker streamer Parth Jain, clinched back-to-back titles on the site as he won MPL Poker’s Wednesday Bonanza last night for 58,750 – and that too on stream! Pramod Choudhary came second for 37,375.

Vishal Kumar, Mohak Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor, Baiju Ray, Satyam Surendra, Clinton Tavares, Ashish Mudgil, Dharambir Yadav, Adithya N G, and Karan Thakker won the other Wednesday marquees.
