Daily Majors: Vivek Singh, Anirban Das, Kanchan Sharma, Arun Sriram & Kritagya Sharma Bag the Hefty Wednesday Scores

Wednesday reigned in an eventful day of MTT action with the inaugural National Poker Series (NPS) continuing its record-shattering run on PokerBaazi. And there`s another NPS – the Nano Poker Series – Adda52`s micro stakes tournament series currently underway.

PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek Singh topped the Wednesday charts after taking down Spartan Poker’s Destiny for the second time last night for 7.60 Lakhs. Anirban D Das secured the runner-up payout worth 4.68 Lakhs, bagging his 48th FT finish of the month.

Young Gun Kanchan Sharma clinched her first NPS Gold Medal in NPS#65 Sprint DST, winning 3.33 Lakhs. The NPS Marathon winner Kritagya Sharma placed runner-up for 2.35 Lakhs, posting his third NPS podium finish at the series. He has moved up to #2 on the NPS Podium leaderboard with 17 points.

The DOPT June Special champion Arun Sriram added 2.73 Lakhs on Wednesday from three ITM scores that included a top-three finish in both the Adda52 marquees.

Himanshu Kataria, Muthukumar Rajagopalan, Kunal Yadav, Neeraj Kumar, & Sai Siddharth shipped the other marquee events.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker`s Destiny 20.0 series found its second champion last night. Running on a reduced 26 Lakhs prize pool guarantee, the Wednesday flagship filled in a 29.25 Lakhs prize pool after 585 entrants signed up to play. Starting at 8 PM, the event ended at 4:20 AM with PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh topping the field to win his second Destiny title for a 7.60 Lakhs payday. Not only did the Destiny score make him the day`s biggest winner, but it also secured him a seat in the 10 Lakhs GTD Destiny 20.0 SnG Finale set for September 5 (9 PM). Singh had won the Destiny title for the first time in June last year for 7.98 Lakhs.

Online beast & Monday’s Battle Royale champion Anirban ‘pokernoob’ D Das settled for a runner-up prize worth 4.68 Lakhs, with Annant ‘Yennnefer’ Jain placing third for 2.71 Lakhs.

Anirban Das had an eventful Wednesday posting six ITM scores, including three FT finishes, collectively earning 5.01 Lakhs. His other FT scores were:

The record-breaking National Poker Series (NPS) is fast approaching the finish line. The inaugural series has another four days to go and Day 11 had six events running, and three of them awarded medals.

The showstopper 3 Crores GTD NPS Main Event logged in 512 entries on Flight 1C. After the stipulated 27 levels of play, 54 survivors packed their bags for what`s expected to be an electrifying Day 2 on Sunday. The 5,500 entry buy-in Main Event has registered 1,769 entries so far (Flight 1A – 634, Flight 1B – 623, and Flight 1C – 512) with four more flights left to meet its 6,000-entry guarantee. ‘rcane’ (626,000), PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot (330,000), and ‘pokertwo29’ (317,000) carried forward the top three stacks of the day.

The 550 entry buy-in 1 Crore GTD Golden Rush completed Flight 1K on Wednesday, adding 821 entries to the field. After the 27 levels of play, 72 runners made it through to Day 2, with ‘raj2102’ (484,000), Rohit ‘Rohit79singh’ Singh (463,000), and Shamin ‘Shogun’ Riza (426,000) topping the day-end chip counts. The event needs a massive 20,000 entries to break even and is a little below pace with 13,237 total entries and four flights to go.

The 1 Crore GTD NPS Highroller played out its second and last flight last night. The 16,500 entry buy-in event signed up 388 entries on Flight 1B, generating a guarantee-crushing 1.13 Crores from 755 total participants (Flight 1A – 367 and Flight 1B – 388). Well-known reg Vinod ‘figureitout’ Megalmani (308,000), the IOPC – The Crown champion Harshit ‘Harshit114’ Sanghi (287,000), and ‘Benny_gur’ (239,000) rounded out the top three stacks of the flight. Day 2 begins at 7:30 PM today with the Flight 1A chip leader Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni (507,000) starting out ahead of the 84 survivors.

The featured NPS event to award medals on Day 11 was the 10 Lakhs GTD NPS#65 Sprint DST. Young Gun Kanchan ‘Kanchansharma’ Sharma overcame the guarantee-crushing 737-entry field to win her first NPS Gold Medal and a winner`s payday worth 3.33 Lakhs. This was her second flagship title of the year, boosting her lifetime winnings to 2.91 Crores (1.04 Crores in net profits). The NPS#37 Marathon Kritagya ‘Kritagya_17’ Sharma placed second for 2.35 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi user ‘shyamzs’ topped the 3 Lakhs added NPS Daily Leaderboard for 75,000, with ‘nafeesahmed’ (2nd for 45,000) and Young Gun Kanchan ‘Kanchansharma’ Sharma (3rd for 33,000) securing the #2 and #3 positions respectively.

The champion ‘Chitti99’ currently sits on 14.11 Lakhs in recorded winnings on Adda52 (9.42 Lakhs in site-profits).

The third starting flight of the series’ showstopper, the ₹3 Crores GTD NPS Main Event, gathered 512 entries, and 54 among them survived for Day 2.

The mystery user ‘rcane’ had a strong run on Wednesday as he bagged a massive 626,000 stack to take the end-of-flight chip lead.

It has been a fantastic NPS so far for our PokerGuru Ambassadors, and it comes as no surprise that the top 10 chip counts featured as astounding two names from the team. PokerGuru Staking`s Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot stood second place on the end-of-day chip counts list, with the first-ever Millionaire Series Main Event champion Ashutosh ‘senojwod’ Balodhi (294,000) bagging the fourth-largest stack.

The former The Millionaire champion bagged his second Destiny title last night, securing himself a seat in the season-ending Destiny 20.0 SnG Finale scheduled for September 5 (9 PM). However, since Vivek Singh has opted out of tracking, we do not have his lifetime stats.

The Destiny runner-up finisher was none other than the first-ever Adda52 Colossus champion Anirban ‘pokernoob’ D Das, who continuing his blistering run, scored ₹4.68 Lakhs in the event. What’s more impressive is that this was Das’ 48th FT of the month, pushing him up to #11 on the annual leaderboard standings. At the same time, he crossed the ₹2 Crore mark in lifetime profits.

The biggest of the three NPS events that played down to a winner last night, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD NPS#65 Sprint DST, sprinted its way to a guarantee-smashing ₹18.43 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 737 entries.

The event ran from 7:30 PM to 1:19 AM, and Young Gun Kanchan ‘Kanchansharma’ Sharma came out on top to collect her first NPS Gold Medal and ₹3.33 Lakhs in prize money. Kritagya ‘Kritagya_17’ Sharma placed second for ₹2.35 Lakhs.

Kanchan Sharma bagged her second flagship title last night, crossing ₹2.91 Crores in lifetime online winnings.

The runner-up finisher Kritagya Sharma already had two NPS medals under his belt. He championed the NPS#37 Marathon on June 18 for ₹4.78 Lakhs and came close to defending his title in the NPS #47 Marathon on June 20, but ultimately placed third for ₹1.76 Lakhs. Last night’s runner-up finish brought him his third NPS medal at the series and first NPS Silver Medal. He is now placed second on the NPS Podium Leaderboard with 17 points, behind PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit Wadhawan (20 points).

Spartan Poker Announces Brand-New ‘The Millionaire Series’ Offering ₹5.70 Crores in Prize Pool GTDs (December 7-13)

India’s leading online poker site, Spartan Poker, has been consistently raising the bar by introducing bigger and better tournaments and promotions. Complementing its expanding suite of high-value tournaments, the site, over the years, has successfully launched numerous flagship tourneys, namely, Two-of-a-Kind, Destiny, The Elite, Ultron, etc. These have become franchises to add to its popular India Online Poker Championship (IOPC), Grand Poker Series (GPS), Ultimate Value Series (UVS), and the Freezeout Master Series (FMS).

Sunday Online Railbird Report: Agarwal, Munjal, Kakarania, Bhardwaj, Sur & Rughani Bank Seven-Figure Scores!

Sundays are always the most electrifying day on the virtual felts, but now with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine extended, the action seems to be hitting new peaks every week!

Headlining the plethora of tourneys on offer yesterday was Adda52’s AOPS Main Event ₹2 Crores GTD. This multi-flight tournament gathered 2,271 entries, and only 231 made it through to Day 2. Decimating the field to claim the title was well-known reg and notable poker coach Sahil ‘Bhaijiii’ Agarwal. It was a packed final table with the likes of Umang ‘umang94’ Kakarania (3rd for ₹19.61 Lakhs) and PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan (7th for ₹5.24 Lakhs) running deep. Following several hours of grueling play, Agarwal finally emerged victorious, and he bested Avneesh ‘IamAM’ Munjal (runner-up for ₹28.28 Lakhs) heads-up to win the whopping ₹50 Lakhs first-place cash prize!

Joining Agarwal in the Millionaire’s Club’ was Chirag ‘mahikk’ Bhardwaj. This online regular had finished runner-up in Adda52’s AOPS Godfather ₹30 Lakhs GTD on April 9. Improving on his previous finish, Bhardwaj took down the AOPS Mega Suits ₹35 Lakhs GTD last night for ₹10.63 Lakhs. The tourney garnered 963 participants (499 unique and 464 re-entries), leading to a prize pool collection worth ₹48.15 Lakhs.

Spartan Poker’s ongoing Spartan Super Series (SSS) played host to the SSS The Millionaire X5 – 1 Million to Top 5 last night. Pulling in 1,986 entries through two starting flights, Day 2 welcomed 235 runners. The play got halted with the elimination of Sagar ‘$tuTheKidUngar’ Patnaik in sixth place for ₹4.75 Lakhs, and the remaining five survivors, namely, Abhishek ‘PoeticInjustice’ Gubba, ‘FunkeyFox,’ Amit ‘Immortal Killer’ Sur, Vivek ‘Pokerbatman27’ Rughani and ‘Yennnefer,’ all got ₹10 Lakhs added to their Spartan Poker balance.

The other big-ticket tourney on Spartan Poker was the SSS#25 Sunday SuperStack ₹50 Lakhs GTD. Once all was done and dusted, it was PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘David Blaine’ Ray who trounced a field of 1,137 entries (532 unique, 215 re-entries, and 390 re-buys) to clinch the title for a lucrative ₹7.99 Lakhs payday, following a three-way deal with ‘ztc3’ (runner-up for ₹7.18 Lakhs) and ‘jecwivpd’ (3rd for ₹6.74 Lakhs).

Another PokerGuru Ambassador, Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja, outlasted a 650-strong player field in the SSS#28 Big Daddy ₹12 Lakhs GTD and struck a heads-up deal with Kunal ‘TiltAtma’ Patni (runner-up for ₹1.81 Lakhs), en-route to bagging the winner’s paycheque worth ₹2.30 Lakhs.

Completing a hattrick for the team was PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘kasolhieghts’ Singh, who shipped the SSS# 22 Afternoon Showdown ₹8 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.72 Lakhs, while Kunal ‘cvc’ Sharma came in second for ₹1.14 Lakhs.

Continuing with his fierce form, Nishant ‘DoJingBULLETSS’ Sharma added a sixth title to his ever-growing monthly tally. He championed over 194 entrants (114 unique and 80 re-entries) in PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller ₹20 Lakhs GTD to win ₹3.30 Lakhs following a heads-up chop with ‘Sooo Pure’ (runner-up for ₹3.61 Lakhs).

Closing out the 10-day run of the AOPS series was the AOPS Main Event ₹2 Crores GTD finale. The tournament that was making its second run this year, logged in a massive field of 2,271 runners (Day 1A – 316, Day 1B – 320, Day 1C – 278, Day 1D – 346, Day 1E – 352, and Day 1F – 659) across all six starting flights. The packed field ensured that the guarantee was crushed, and the final prize pool stood at an astronomical ₹2.27 crores!

231 players were able to survive the first 29 levels of either one of six starting flights to make it to Day 2. Aniket ‘Sandystorm’ Pradhan was the first player to fall on Sunday and also the only one who missed out on a payday.

In the end, Sahil ‘Bhaijiii’ Agarwal beat out Avneesh ‘IamAM’ Munjal heads-up to win the title and the top-heavy ₹50 Lakhs first-place prize. Munjal collected ₹28.28 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.
