The awesome new Poker Room in Macau dint look all that different from a Goa poker room. On every table there was an Indian tourney Reg seated and I think this is the biggest participation ever from the Indian Contingent in Macau.
I got to Macau a day before the rest of the Indian players got in because of expensive flights on the 8th of June. I checked into the Grand Waldo Spa (which I Initially thought was a shady place). Spa and Sauna aren’t the places you technically want to stay when you are in Macau. However, I was in for a big Surprise . The rooms were excellent and way cheaper than any other place in Macau. There are good indian food options around and they have hard beds. (I love hard beds coz of my back).
I am rooming with one of the most popular tourney regs in the circuit. Amit ” Come on” Jain. He is really fun to room with always high on energy.
As I mentioned earlier I got here last night and went to Wynn to meet a friend. While waiting for him to come, I sat to play some cash and made like $1200 in a 45 mins session. lol. I normally dont play cash but I felt good about the whole thing.
The rest of the crew from India got here last afternoon and I took the veggies (its impossible for a vegetarian to eat good food in Macau) to a very famous Indian Restaurant for lunch. We then rested up and played the first tournament.
The tournament went well for me in the beginning and I was able to chip up by the end of the first break. I have posted a couple of hands on the forum in case you wanna check them out. After the first break i could get much going when my KK failed to hold up again AJo and then I rejammed AThh and ran into AA.
That was it. After this Amit, Kavin and I went for some dinner and hung out a bit before getting back to the room.
I might play the Charity event morrow as there are no other events or may just take the day off.
