Main Event 2020 Schedule

Day 1 (29 Nov - 6 Dec) - Online

  • All three Day 1s will play out online
  • International Tournament (for international players) begins 29 Nov on Natural8
  • Domestic Tournament (for US players) begins 13 Dec on WSOP.com
  • The International and Domestic Tournaments will be treated as separate but with the exact same structure
  • Traditional “freezeout” format applies, offering only one entry per player
  • Players will start with 60,000 in chips and play 30-minute levels. Late registration will remain open through the end of Level 13 (six hours)

Day 2 (7 Dec) - Online

  • Day 2 will continue playing out online
  • Play will be paused for the final 9 contestants of both the International and Domestic Tournaments

Final Table (15 Dec) - Live

  • International players will report to King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic
  • Domestic players will report to Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas
  • Final tables will be taped live, and will play down to one winner each for the International and Domestic Tournaments
  • Levels will switch to 60 minutes

 

Heads-Up Championship (30 Dec) - Live

  • The winner of the International Tournament and the winner of the Domestic Tournament will meet at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for a televised showdown
  • Both players will start with 500,000 in chips and play 20-minute levels
  • Winner of this heads-up will win $1 million, the Main Event championship bracelet and be crowned the 2020 World Champion!
